Final Book

I have a very busy mind and heart when it comes to the things of God. To be honest, He’s all I really think about. That’s not new for me. It’s now my natural normal. Ever since Christ’s first tenderly expressed ”Hello”, which in reality stole my heart, I have been like this. I do not know how to be any other way! “Hopelessly in love” would accurately describe my condition. It has no cure, if you are wondering. Also, if you are wondering, I’m not looking for one. I plan to die from it!

I suppose that’s how “82” books get written. I equally suppose, that’s why I have this tongue in my mouth that seems quite unable to stop talking about Jesus. I’m sure it would serve me well, in a self preserving way, to not be quite as voice-tress about my faith but “we are who we are” and if Jesus is at the center of it all, then it’s all good.

My 44 year and counting walk with God has seldom had dormancy attached, so it’s not really a surprise to me that moving on to “what’s next” brings me to “my last Ebook”. Due to the Ebook format they will be available as long as the internet exists. Therefore, I take great satisfaction in knowing that “not writing” doesn’t mean “not being read” or “not contributing”!

So what does one express in their final thoughts when they believe that last words are the most important for better or worse. Just ask the one who has suffered through an ugly divorce if any confirmation is needed as to the truth of that statement.

Thank You!

The first thing that comes to mind is a heartfelt thank you to God and yourselves for the great run we have had together. I guess a “tip of the hat” to my abused key board would be a distant second. It really has taken a beating from my overly aggressive untrained fingers.

I also think a promise to keep it short, but still poignant, would be appropriate seeing as I have chatted your ears off for almost 20 months non-stop. My goodness, we have covered a lot of subject matter my friends! Hopefully at least some of it, has spoken to hearts. That is the only motivation that prompts the exercise.

The Most Important

Back to the importance of the “final word”. I thought this over with great care. Limiting myself to “only one” thought, as if it were my last thought on earth, was not an easy task. But finally I came up with “a singular precept” that one day may save your life. So here is what I concluded as most important. Shared with more love and care than you can imagine.

There’s many voices in the wind folks and not all are as they claim. That’s not to scare you into paranoia but simply to inform you. It’s not my opinion but rather a fact and it is obvious. So, to protect yourself from being swallowed up by them, here’s a easy rule of thumb to consider.

Never ever relinquish your spiritual integrity nor sincerity in regards to your devotion to Jesus, or that which He said, to anyone wearing skin. If that is their subtle inference to your inclusion, you instantly walk away! The longer you are there, the harder it will be to walk. To be clear: I’m not referring to the small incidentals that we might have differing views on. No, this is the “are you kidding me” stuff, which is unbelievably popular today! Not scriptural just popular!

This is not to suggest that all communicators are “iffy”. Those who “aren’t” would unanimously agree: The only voice of “absolute authority” in your life, doesn’t hold a microphone. He sits at the right hand of His Father in heaven interceding on our behalf.

Jesus is our High Priest and Advocate and it’s to Him and only Him we owe our adherence. Now, if the microphone holders desire to align themselves with His words then great. If not they have no right to be speaking for Christ nor to His church, and we have the God directed responsibility to vacate when things go off into “never-never land” like as if, the “Church Of Jesus Christ” is a “free-for-all”. You’ve seen it and you’ve heard it, thus you know exactly what I’m talking about.

As sheep who are easily distracted, which is why we wear that descriptive, it’s not to be played with. It is “only” our Shepherd Jesus who enters the sheep fold through the divinely established gate of authenticity. When others appear on the scene who attempt to pervert His words in an effort to create an easier, more popular, and more profitable gospel, we are licensed by God to deem them counterfeit and respond appropriately. In short: We have a serious spiritual toxicity that has permeated our faith folks and it’s no small thing!

In today’s landscape of Christianity, the fraudulent are beginning to outnumber the legitimate. “Selling Jesus” is a hugely profitable business and make no mistake about it, it is a business. So discernment and selectivity has never been at a higher premium.

To my final thought: Guard your hearts folks. They are so sacred and most worthy of protecting. Do not be casual with them, be vigilant. It won’t make you popular, but it will prevent you from destroying the very thing Jesus died for. He hung on a cross so that you would become a temple for His dwelling. A place of residence where His reign would exist un-challenged by imposters.

You see, it’s not just me not liking them with an axe to grind. If it were that minor I would not even mention it. My issue is far deeper than that. The deterioration they cause to the sacred wonder you are meant to be in Christ for the frivolity of foolishness! The connectivity you are meant to experience in your true vine Christ, gets disconnected and re-connected to someone or something else. These people are trying to steal what Jesus has already claimed as His, your heart. Once they have your heart, your wallet will follow! Don’t be offended by them. After all, it’s only business! GUARD YOUR HEARTS!! PLEASE!!

At present, it’s far too profitable for these people to simply disappear on their own accord! The flood gates have opened and the ensuing deluge is in full swing. But that doesn’t mean we have to drown on mass. God will always make a way of escape but only for those who are willing to honestly evaluate the content of what they are being asked to ingest. And how do we do that? Check with “the book”. That’s why it’s there!

Time to say goodbye. Blessings with thanks to all and may God richly bless your journey as you draw closer to His amazing heart! He’s more than enough folks. We truly need no add-ons.

Final Final Word!

When is “final” truly “final” when it comes from this Bill guy? When he has said thank you to his Mother/Angel who never gave up on him when most others did. To their defense: Justifiably so. Prior to the age of 27 I was an interestingly challenging handful. Now that’s an understatement!

But you see, Mom had a promise from God regarding her “Billy”. A promise that I hope I have in some small way continued to honor, by writing 82 books about her “Promise Maker”.

Thank you Mom. Because of your prayers and the faithfulness of your Lord, He is now my Lord. Based on His grace and His grace alone, I will see you again soon!

My Ministry - Our Ministry

Mark 6 - 38 & 41: “How many loaves do you have He asked?” “Go and see”. When they found out they said, “Five and two fish”. Taking the five loaves and two fish and looking up to heaven He gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to His disciples to DISTRIBUTE to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all”. ( Five thousand plus, were fed that day! )

In the biblical story of the “fishes and loaves”, I so clearly see three dynamics in play to achieve the desired completion of the heavenly orchestrated equation. The young boy GAVE what little he had, our Lord then MULTIPLIED it, and the disciples then DISTRIBUTED it.

It’s interesting to note that Jesus, after the multiplying didn’t say, “Come and get it”. What He did say was, “Everyone find a place to sit on the grass and I’ll bring it to you, through my own”. Folks, He loves to involve us. He loves to make us matter! We are blessed beyond measure to be written into, His stories! Just imagine: Invited by Him to participate in His plans for others!

From the inception of the idea of writing books to be made available to “all freely”, there has never been a moment when I haven’t been aware of its ministry context. I could easily be seen as the “young boy” in the story. Jesus has most certainly multiplied my meager offering to Him.

So may I invite and encourage you to be a distributor of that which He has multiplied, thereby elevating “My Ministry” into “Our Ministry”, thus completing “His Ministry”. There’s something about that idea that sounds “perfect” to my heart!

We all have friends, family, work mates, school mates, etc. I’ve included a simple directional on “how to find” the “fishes and loaves”. Please feel free to share “what you eat” with others. You have no idea where it could lead to! That young boy’s mother could never have dreamed, what that little lunch she had prepared for her son on that fateful morning, would produce!
