Introduction

Sincerely speaking, the matter of the principle and practice of prayer had occupied my heart until now. I weep profusely in my spirit when I notice Christians crying and complaining when they have prayer and could pray. This book dominion through prayer appeared at the right time as the Holy Ghost clearly instructed me to pen it down profitably for Christians around the globe. The factory of prayer remains the oldest yet producing new results for individuals who labor therein. Abraham was called the friend of God and friendship is strong and brought to intimacy through communication which is prayer. Daniel was called a man greatly beloved because he communicates with God trice daily. “The secret thing belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law” (Deut. 29:29). “Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision”… (Daniel 2:19). Daniel was able to catapult himself into celestial realm and capture secrets by his camera of prayer. The secret things belong to God and whatever belongs to him is given to us on the altar of prayer. God cannot speak with you, and show you things either in dreams, trance and vision and cause you to comprehend it when you’re lazy or lacking in prayer. “…Peter went up upon the house top to pray about the sixth hour… but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, and saw heaven opened…” (Acts 10:9-10). Knowing the father’s heart, and hearing from him clearly, requires addiction to prayer. While they were on the mountain top even Moses, Elijah and Jesus, God’s voice spoke “This is my beloved son hear him”. It is practically clear on the pages of the scripture that the only means and channel of getting to God is prayer. Be it prayer of worship, agreement, petition and supplication. The only cry that God hears is the cry that emerges from a praying heart. Prayer is and should be soul's sincere desire. For you to get along in life and sail through the rough and dark tunnel of this universe you need God. There is no way you can connect and continue with God except through prayer. There is no way you'll get divine revelation and insight except through prayer. You need Holy Ghost induced and inspired prayer light to navigate and be an enviable winner in the matters of life. Great men and women whose lives are indelibly making marks in our world came to lime light and remained there by prayer. In this untoward generation, the chariot needed by Christians to run swiftly and carry the winner’s trophy is prayer. Truly, everything rises and falls on prayer.

Why Prayer?

It's been discovered that what is lacking among twenty first century Christians is private, personal and productive prayer yet it is the paramount practice that keeps believers on the track of Christ-like conduct and liberal love. Your power, wisdom, might and spiritual glory has its fruitage in your prayer ability. The secret of enjoying the very presence of God lie in your habitual prayer. Your constant connection to divinity finds its conduit in habitual prayer. Why prayer? It is prayer because we are born of God and to keep that sweet relationship and fellowship we must maintain a life style of deep prayer. “These words spake Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father”… (John 17:1). Even Jesus when he was on earth needed prayer to keep the chord between him and his father. You don't need less. Why prayer? It is prayer because that is the one and only virtue that will bring you in the realm of God that is third heaven where your burdens of any kind will be lifted and your needs met. In short prayer is the feet, hand, face and language that we need and must wear for heaven to recognize us as true citizens, whether in the form of worship or petition. Prayer is the only thing we are born into, so live by it. “For man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4), prayer inclusive. “Then shall ye call upon me and shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you” (Jer. 29:12). To hearken is simply telling us that God will hear us with keen interest. Only prayer has that sure ability to open the ear of God. I love seeing churches, families, organizations, institutions and friends pray because that’s where their lives and existence depends. This book deals and centers on bringing you to the realm of possibilities through prayer, where you see prayer as a paramount ingredient for a successful life. You cannot get and do anything here on earth without prayer that is why it is prayer.

The First and Final Option

“And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, He said, father, into thy hands I commend my Spirit: and having said thus He gave up the ghost” (Luke 23:46). Whenever I open my bible, one major thing I see among others is prayer. Prayer is the life breath of every sincere child of God. If you are claiming to be spiritual and are not practically praying, such fellow is already in a spiritual and in some cases physical coffin and about to be buried. If you are a good student of the bible, you'll notice that the life of Jesus when he was on earth was heavily characterized by deep and dogged prayer. He saturates and baths His life mostly with private and practical prayer. He led and maintained a mighty prayer life style in the mist of frustrating and fainting situations, not because He is the almighty but because He knew that “Men ought always to pray”. We are like the thread in our lamps and Jesus is the oil; that's why Peter responded by insight saying “You are the Christ”, meaning the anointed one and His anointing. There is no way you can contact Jesus in the person of the Holy Ghost except through conscious life style of prayer. It took prayer for Jesus to fulfill the prophecy of Genesis 3:15; that's the reason He said “Father into thy hands I commend my spirit”. That is prayer. Listen friend, for you to fulfill destiny and prophecy it must be by serious fervent and habitual prayer. If prayer is so paramount for Jesus to practice it from a painful cross in order to bruise the head of the serpent and fulfill destiny, you need more or less nothing than prayer. Prayer is compulsory. Jesus bruises the head of satan, not by ordinary empty boldness but by life style of prayer. You cannot be a praying person, especially praying in the Holy Ghost and not be holy and successful. Make prayer your first and final option, to be and remain an enviable winner and wonder to your generation. Purposeful prayer will place you on the pinnacle of palatable progress and prosperity. Serious minded prayer is the key, gear, engine and component that’ll take you successfully to your desired destination. It’s indeed the first and final option.

Praying or Playing

It takes a spiritual man to pray. When you don't understand the subject of prayer and practice it accordingly, then you are playing. “And when they have prayed, the place was shaking”… (Acts 4:31). When one is said to be praying, and his prayer isn’t producing result then he may be playing. One major thing you need to attack so much in your life is ignorance. Knowledge and its application is power. When a child of God doesn’t know and understand the principles of prayer, praying becomes playing. I have seen people who make too much noise in the name of prayer; yet year after year, no divine information gotten, no idea received, no direction in clarity discovered, no tangible progress made, and no transformation experienced. Prayer is practically a spiritual transaction. Genuine prayer exercise brings about the glory of God upon your life. You can’t truly live by prayer and be a mockery. When you are playing with prayer, digression and retrogression becomes your progress. Real Holy Ghost prayer keeps you on motion and makes you a success. When you mean business with prayer, your change and transformation comes with speed. One night around 2.am as I was praying with this unflagging fervency, I saw heaven opened and I noticed a golden sand heaped like ridge with this dazzling green plant protruding like the ear of a tender corn; then the Lord said in clear terms to me, “Do you realize you have eternal life, do you know you have my kind of life and can never die, experience defeat or fail”?. If I want to write the instant result of this encounter, the volume will be so big. This experience brought permanent transformation to me. Prayer brings you to the visions of God. When we want to travel or cook, or write exams, or even sleep; we prepare for it. But when we want to pray, we do it casually and carelessly like a small child playing with his toys. These are reasons why we don’t get transformed. People who pray walk in and out of God’s throne room with a touch of divine glory. When Esther entered the king’s throne room with her ladder of prayer, the scepter of glory and life and favor touched her life. With these ingredients of prayer, your taste remains fresh and your life can never expire. When you toy with other things, never toy with your prayer life. It is called “Prayer life” because that is where our life and power and progress depend. Prayer is a spiritual exercise practiced purposely by spiritual men to birth a change, it is not an exercise of playing children hence the scripture said “Men ought always to pray”… (Luke 18:1). On earth we have two classes of people, people who are spiritual and people who are carnal. Prayer is the sure bridge with which one crosses carnality. It is the champion’s strength to win in the day of battle, it is both you are playing and no result oriented or praying and finding result. It keeps one in protracted stagnation like the sick man in Bethesda to pray with a playing mentality. Friend, there is no way you can shake your community and nation if not by prayer. There is no way you can shake out poverty and barrenness if not by prayer. There is no way you can shake the kingdom of darkness and even the kingdom of Heaven except through prayer. One night the Lord said to me that if Christians are serious and unsentimentally sincere with the business of prayer, they will soon dismiss the devil out of the earth. Notice, not by becoming unnecessarily conscious of the devil, but by focusing on and cultivating a dignified powerful life style of prayer. One night the Holy Ghost said to me, son, many people are not praying but playing. You cannot truly pray with high spiritual sensitivity when you don't carry the producer of prayer. Prayer is a divine life, when you don't have it you cannot express it in its productive reality. Many congregations are playing instead of praying; that's the reason why carnality and worldliness have taking over so many churches. There is no way you can be free from religion if you are not spiritual by prayer. Prayers can sing well but singers may not pray well if they are not filled with the Spirit of prayer. Singing is a natural endowment but praying is a spiritual endue-ment. Come journey with me as we explore this Holy Ghost manufactured masterpiece. This book is a complete and classic spiritual work on prayer, written with spiritual experience, strong passion, and perceptiveness and as a parcel purposely to hold lives spell bound with prayer and cause a positive improvement in the body of Christ around the globe. Carefully study and follow its scriptural divine principles for maximum impact. This book is recommended for individuals, families, churches and organizations. Digest it and your life will be blessed and turn channel of blessing. Truly everything rises and falls on prayer. God Bless You.

Chapter One

What Is Prayer?

The awesome definition of prayer

It is generally assumed that all and sundry who are Christians prays and equally grasp to an extent the definition of prayer. This assumption verily stands with one leg. Understanding prayer and practicing it accordingly from God’s perspective stands immutable. Lack of insight into what prayer is had been the spring board throwing Christians away from the gainful business of prayer. Prayer is like a beautiful color, but to a blind fellow, it cannot be defined. This book is one of its kinds that will open your eye, shape and sharpen your spiritual mentality; and assist you enjoy the sweetness of prayer as a hard working rich man enjoys his meal. You cannot truly progress in business for which you fail to define. The content of prayer and its subject is paramount to human progress and destiny.

For you to completely comprehend what prayer is, you need to know what prayer is not. Prayer is not just an avenue to get what you want. Prayer is not dropping in for a chat. Prayer is not depending on your human and natural abilities for a result. Prayer is not a child play neither is it crying and weeping. Prayer is not singing. Prayer is not just making declaration. Prayer is not reading books written on prayer or even the bible. Prayer is not thinking neither is it meditation. Prayer is not murmuring and complaining. Prayer is not just talking to God. Prayer is not just receiving prayer from a pastor, Rev. and Bishop. Prayer is not dancing to God. Prayer is not fasting.

What Then Is Prayer?

The sacred and life changing book of God gives us information on what prayer is. Philippians 4:6 tells us, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Paul the apostle of God and servant of Jesus Christ, whose life was characterized by deep and dogged prayer, tells us that

1. Prayer Is a Personal Relationship and Fellowship with God

God's word declares “Let your requests be made known unto God”. Remove God and there is nothing called prayer. When God is not in it, then it is not prayer. The bible said, “For in him [God] we live, and move, and have our being…” (Acts 17:28). The word “Unto God” and the word “In him we have our being”, made it clear that everything depends on one Supreme Being, GOD. Prayer is beyond what many Christians understand it to be. It’s a sweet relationship and fellowship with God. Picture a fellow who is in a ship with another fellow sailing sweetly and smoothly, picture how wonderful their discussion and journey would be. Both are just in the ship enjoying their presence and persons. Fellow-ship involves you and God at the place of prayer expressing yourselves, feelings and love. Fellowship therefore is insightfully two fellows talking on motion. That’s why it is called “Fellow and ship”. You can’t be talking with God and be static and stagnant in life. Prayer is a moving train which two persons alone are involved, (Whether in private or collective prayer). It is a sweet experience of someone who is washed in the blood of Jesus fellowshipping with his heavenly father. It births change and bring result. When we were small, we were taught that prayer is talking to God. Good as it is, when I grew and started praying, I found out it is deeper than talking to God. Prayer is not just talking to God, it is not the business of shouting father, father. Hear me, I am tired, father why? Without unambiguously getting God talk with you. Prayer is solely a business that involves God and you. God is not like the perfume we wear whenever we feel like, in order to smell better. Prayer is a fellowship and God our heavenly father demands it. Out of billions of people on the earth planet, God desires personal fellowship with you. Have you ever wondered why too many people are said to be praying and their lives and aspirations not improving? Their requests not granted? Their expectations remained untouched? The answer is undoubtedly clear from God's word, “I never knew you…” [Matthew 7:23]. A life void of steady and concrete relationship and fellowship with God will never enjoy the resources of Heaven. Do you want to enjoy the resources of heaven? Then enter into relationship with God. True relationship is an act of pleasing someone with whom you relate and have to do. The bible said in (Revelation 4:11) “For thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created”. To please someone is drawn from the word “Pleasure”, and pleasure is related to emotion. Telling us that God has emotion, feeling, thought and mindset, He knows it when one is into relationship with him, and when one is not. God really want you to enter into relationship with Him by pleasing Him and letting your life showcase Him. Notice, the above verse was addressed to Christians, those who are born again. You must make sure you’ve given your life to Christ and lives daily in the consciousness of your new birth. Crave His relationship in your life journey and decisions, nurture it, then you will be on your way to receiving answers to your prayers, for indeed God hears and is impartial toward the prayers of those whose lives are pleasing unto Him [Psalm 65:2; Acts 10:34-35]. Are you into good and sinning free relationship with Him? If yes, then be rest assured that He will hear your prayer. “For with Him is no variableness neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). Indeed, prayer is a divine person to divine person relationship and fellowship. Relationship is your birth certificate while fellowship is your birth calling. Make a private fellowship with God your purpose for living, and then your speech will attract heaven. Prayer is really a relationship and fellowship with God.

2. Prayer Is a Privilege

The storehouses of heaven are steadily overflowing with unimaginable blessings and inexhaustible blissfulness, but not everyone is given the divine secrets to unlock and access the golden bounties of heaven. God is so holy and pure, by nature; no human being can truly connect to Him. Many are wrongly thinking that they have the right to walk up to God and get what they want. Friend you need to humble yourself and understand that prayer is a privilege. It’s not your making and it’s not your power. It is solely a sacred privilege delivered to us by a loving father. Until you understand and apply this divine truth into your life, you will never get God work for you. The word privilege is often defined as an advantage that only one or group of people has, usually because of their position. Our prayer position is sacrificially secured in Christ Jesus. The bible said “For without me you can do nothing”, (John 15:5), Prayer inclusive. Christ acquired our right standing before God through His precious and priceless stainless blood. “Come boldly to the throne of grace and obtain answer to your prayers, knock and it shall be opened unto you”. Imagine a beautiful mansion without a door or an entrance. Imagine a good fence without a gate. Ordinarily, people would love to enter and find peace and pleasure. Heaven is a place and prayer is the door into which you’ll pass through. It’s a privilege, humbly make use of it. You know it cost God a lot to give us this profitable privilege and breaks His heart when we don’t or casually utilize it. Friend, do not allow the pressures of life to push and remove you from the place of prayer. Are you pressed and perplexed by the sorrows and troubles of the world? Do you feel weak and spiritually worn out? Does it seem as if your situations and struggles are endless? Listen! There is a God who sees and cares; He has given you an opportunity and privilege in the place of prayer. Imagine Prince William begging to enter the palace of Queen Elizabeth. There are many young men and women in England who will never enter the Queen’s palace till they die. Why? They don’t have the privilege; they do not know how to enter. It’s been given to you as a child of God; it’s called “why worry when you can pray”. Take advantage of that and claim the infallible and unchanging promises of God that suit your situation. “Let your request be made known unto God”. (Philippians 4:6).

3. Prayer Is Devotion

Until you love prayer, and love to pray, you will never pray. Prayer they say is the mark of spirituality. There is no carnal and self-controlled individual who will ever enjoy prayer. Prayer is supposed to be enjoyed and not to be carnally seen as a burden or mountain. When it comes to prayer I have personally discovered that many prefer singing and dancing to prayer. Truly, prayer is the only sustainable means by which every serious and great minded people fought and fight their battles. Take for instance the beautiful scriptural truth of great father Abraham. In Genesis chapter 19:27, “And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord”. Abraham has been into a strong flowing relationship with God. His life was pleasing to God. This time he built a strong altar (place) where he sincerely and ceaselessly seeks the face of God. Abraham was a lover of prayer to the point that he had a special place where he enjoyed his life with God through prayer. Being a lover of prayer is being a lover of God. Love for God will always draw you to God to be in his presence. You can’t truly love God and be a looser in life. Love for God is not just going to church, singing when the going is good and palatable, and shouting hallelujah when money is flowing into your bank account. Wonderful though, you must love God to the point of clarity to your conscience. Everything moving and motivating you should be love for God, that’s when your prayer will make sense to God. “But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1corth.2:9). There are things prepared for us which the world will be dazed and amazed when God begin to unfold them. It is only possible on the platform of love polished by prayer. Love God and let it be clear to you that His course is your call and loving Him your choice. Friend, stop running away from prayer. The bible said that Abraham's blessings are ours and that we are the descendant of Abraham (Galatians 3:7-9). If truly we are the children of Abraham, then let us reflect and totally replicate our prayerful father. In verse 29 of Genesis chapter 19, the bible also affirms, “And God remembered Abraham”. Hear God in Isaiah 49:16, “Behold I have graven thee upon the palms of my hand; thy walls are continually before me”. Listen, if God is going to remember you in your situation, family, ministry and life endeavors, then you must pay total attention to prayer. Devote your life to prayer and be a lover of prayer. That is the only means of getting your heart desire and request granted. Accepting Jesus is accepting prayer and plenty of it that’s what the Lord told me one cool night as I was communing with him. Though the flesh does not want to pray but it doesn’t have option than to be subdued by the spirit of prayer. Some will say but I didn’t pray, I just sowed a seed and miracle happened. Good as it sounds, someone is praying for you. Picture how bigger you would have been when you devote your life to prayer. There are revelations you’ll never get even when all the intercessors of the world are praying for you. There are leadings, instructions, promptings, signs and wonders that will elude you when you fail to pray for yourself. It’s like a passenger and a pilot in the airplane. There are things the passenger will never see though he is in the trip. God wants you to pilot your life for clearer navigation and higher altitude. Don’t depend on someone’s prayer; it may not work for you all the time. Devote your life to prayer and begin to pray, that’s when you’ll see doors open for you in a way you list expected. One major thing intercessors prayer will do for you is to load a prayer burden in your heart, which it takes you alone to unload and offload. Every good child must by himself suck his mother’s breast, and so it is to every good sheep. Let love for God be your prayer platform and prayer your love platform, “But in everything by prayer and supplication…” (Philippians 4:6).

4. Prayer Is Complete Dependence on God's Ability

Prayer should be your first and final option. The great Thomas Watson made it clear that prayer delights God's ear; it melts his heart, and opens his hand. God cannot deny a praying soul. Dear reader, believe it, God hate it when you struggle on your own and depend on your little or no ability. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”. (Ephesians 3:20). Friend, I want to ask you a soul searching question. Do you think that God who creates great mountains of the universe is not able to lift them? In Isaiah 40:12 and 15, “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance; surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; He weighs the islands as though they were fine dust” (NIV). Do you know what it means? It means that God is more than able to solve your gigantic problem. Turn it to Him. In the case of Jacob in Genesis 47:9, “Jacob told Pharaoh that his pilgrimage on earth has been full of struggles and the days of his years few and full of evil”. If you are a good student of the bible, you will recall or recollect that Jacob stood and struggled on his own for twenty years, when he ran away from Esau his brother. What twenty years of cleverness and running on the fast lane could not do; total dependence on God gave it to him, because God “delighted not in the strength of the horse: He taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man (Psalm 147:10). “And he said, thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel; for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed”. (Genesis 32:28; and also Genesis 33:4, Hosea 12:4). God is able to manifest no mores in your life when you turn it over to him. And Esau ran, not to kill Jacob, but to embrace him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him; and they wept. Total dependence on God in prayer will change your life and make you to shine. Quit planning on your own and include God in your daily life matters. Friend you must sincerely come to the point of abandoning yourself and struggles to God.

“Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there”. That is prayer. If God can’t do it, let it remain undone. “Be careful for nothing” that is, stop doing it excluding God. “Let your request be made known unto God”. (Philippians 4:6).

5. Prayer Is Humility

The force of pride I have discovered is stronger than the force of gravity. No man can stand the force of pride and the deadly effect of its consequences. A proud person must fall. There is no rising in the path of a proud man. If you want to rise in life, chose to be humble and remain humble. It is a choice, so be small in your sight before God; no matter your level of greatness, revelation and achievements. Pride is a force that pulls down .When you don't want to fall by pride then be down by humility. For you must be down in life either by force of pride or by choice of humility. Only Jehovah is made to be up, that is why He is “EL-ELYON'' meaning the most high. Apostle James in his wise epistle tells us. (James 4:6); “But He giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud but giveth grace unto the humble”. If you will truly move forward in life and achieve something, you need God; and if you need God, you will get to him by prayer, and if you will get to him by prayer; it must be by humility. Do you now seem to understand where humility comes in prayer? “For He (God) giveth more grace unto the humble”. Prayer is the ability to connect to God. Listen friend, there is no way you can connect to God without humility. It is practically clear from God's word except you don't believe the word of God. Remove humility and God will be far-fetched. In humility lies the ability to pull God toward you. No matter how far God is, and how big He is, humility attracts God. “He giveth more grace to the humble”. To give is a response and answer to prayer-the prayer of a humble person. No man is lifted by God without humility and no man remains where God placed him without humility. At times, you'll hear something like so and so man of God is proud; then I carefully ask, where is his position? Is such said person lifted? Truly if he is lifted and lifted by God, then he is humble. Listen, God want to bless your life and answer your prayers, but you must search your heart and see to it that you remain humble. For Humility is a state of the heart and if state of the heart; only God can x-ray it. Stop attacking those He lifted, and humble yourself in prayer so that He will lift you. I truly discovered by insight that no one will be as humble as God; you know why? You can see the manifestation of His miraculous power but you cannot see Him. He wisely and purposely hides Himself. That is humility. Whenever you are asking God for something with the motive of boasting about it, you cannot get it from God. That is why Lucifer, that great prince was cast out. Humility is the ability to heartily hide yourself. Destroy the motive of desiring to pray and shout intentionally for people to see you and hear your voice, so that they’ll know it is you praying and that you can pray. Let it be clear to you that only heaven’s attention is your ultimate desire. The truth is, people who you want to know that you are praying cannot solve or answer your prayer. They can recognize you but cannot revive and reposition you for success. “Be not deceived, God is not mocked:” (Gal. 6:7). Everything that God does come and goes with purpose, God is a father of purpose. Whenever you engage in prayer, He weighs your heart and sees your motive. Its only humility that’ll give you a clean motive in prayer; in the absence of humility, your prayer motive is not right thus it does not fit in to divine purpose and it attracts no answer. Humble yourself before God so that you’ll stay in His presence and present your request. Whenever you come to God’s presence, when your motive is wrong, your answer will be outright resistance. It is palatable to pray audibly, but you must destroy the spirit of priding yourself in prayer, making your pray time a show time, not sincerely looking up to God in deep humility. Many would be unserious while prayer is ongoing in the church; once they notice the presence of the pastor they would set their voice on crescendo level posing per serious. Others would fall on the ground weeping for the pastor to notice their mood, yet some others would kneel down but not really looking up to God in contrition and sincere eagerness. Whether in the church or anywhere, do not pray so that men would notice you. That does not suggest quietness and coldness in prayer. Let prayer be like hot oil flowing from the pipe of your heart to divine throne. Shun human notice and recognition. When you list crave it, it is an act of pride and hypocrisy. Humble yourself and focus only on God while praying. It breaks my heart that too many people are busy going to church but their lives are not making positive change. God wants to give us revelations via prayer that would change our lives, but we must be humble and focus on God alone. What will keep you in his presence and position you for greatness is humility. 1 Peter 5:6 says “Humble yourself therefore under the mighty hand of God…” What you must humble is “Self”. You must deal with self so that God will be seen in your life. Our selfish motive and ego is the problem. Chose to remain humble and God will answer your prayer, and your elevation will appear to all, “For God resisteth the proud and giveth more… to the humble.” (James 4:6).

6. Prayer Is God's Will

God's constant will is to answer the prayer of His children. He has given us the assurance in His promise word. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”. (Jeremiah 33:3). The willingness of the great God to answer our prayer will never be denied. He answers the prayer of men and women in the old and New Testament. You will carefully notice in (Matthew 8:2-3) “And, behold, there came a leper and worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. Verse three told us “And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, “I Will”; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed”. Even a leper got what he truly wanted. Yours will not be different. “I Will”, tell us plainly of God's willingness. Having applied the above principles in this chapter; God is ever willing to answer your prayers. Stick to Him no matter what your problem or need seems to be, His will is to answer your prayer. Even if you are diagnosed with a terrible sickness, stay put, and take it to God in prayer; He will answer you. In the beautiful epistle of Apostle John, He said, “And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, he heareth us”. (1 John 5:14). Listen, God is your father and have placed confidence in you; whether you know it or not, that confidence is in your heart, it is called Faith. When you have any challenge or problems just remember that God is there for you, He is ever willing to hear your plea and prayer so you could give Him glory and tell of his wondrous work. Never accept that God sometimes says yes, or no, and sometimes keep silence, “…and if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him” (1 John 5:15). Just understand that once He hears you, He will answer you. Since prayer is God’s will and you are made righteous by Christ, God is hearing you. Friend He never says no “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are yes in Christ”… (2cor.1:20) except you ask amiss or wrongly. When you ask wrongly, God does not hear you let alone answer you. Don’t ask Him to do what is against His choice will, He doesn’t hear you thus there is no answer for you. Once you are born again and matured in the scriptures, you can never ask God to do what is apparently against His will. His will becomes your will while your will becomes His will. Operate in love and whatever you ask of Him, you are guaranteed of the unfailing answer. Don't believe the deceiving lie of the devil and his agents that you will die in that predicament. His will is to save you, bless you, protect you, care for your children's education, promote you and make you a channel of blessings. Do you have a will? God also has, find out his will in His written word and Make Him your confidant and He will change your story. In John 16:23; Jesus said, “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I said unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the father in my name, He “will” give it you; verse 24 says, “Ask and ye shall receive”.
