It is a real story of a girl who can wither turbulence of all weather. I changed the name of the girl and situation to protect the privacy of the girl. She is the latest hero of my life. I deliberately use the word ‘hero’, instead of the word ‘heroine’.

I am sure, you have also met many ‘Fennys’ in your daily life. In most of the cases we may not have sufficient time or inclination to hear the real stories of those ‘Fennys’. I am trying to submit my solemn tribute to all the ‘Fennys’ who are mostly un-noticed by most of us while performing our routine duties. We seldom realize every smiling face may have a turbulent present or turbulent past or both. Hope my readers will appreciate the real story of a girl, who might be akin to another girl known to them and living in their vicinities.

Thanks to my readers and friends and above all my family for their constant support to write something usual and unusual. I love them all.

Thanks to Smashwords for publishing this story book along with my other books.

Chapter I: Cropped Hair

‘Why you are keeping cropped hair like a soldier?’ I asked the young lady of 28 with a mischievous tone.

‘Oh, uncle, don’t you know, I am a soldier?’ With a beautiful smile she replied to my teasing question.

‘Then, what you are doing here?’

‘I also do not know why I am here?’ With another beautiful smile she replied.

‘Anyway, how is the food? Are you enjoying?’ She asked me this time professionally.

‘Yeah, food is nice. I am thoroughly enjoying. But again I am asking the same question, how and why you are here? Are you a management student?’ I stuck to my earlier question.

‘No uncle, I am not a management student. Basically I am an engineer, passed out from a college of Bihar. In my college, there was practically no teacher to teach us and therefore there was no class to attend by all the students including me. Though the college had very impressive buildings and other infrastructural facilities, no teacher wanted to stay in the college for more than a month. We had a merry time for all the four years in my college. I do not know how the management was able to arrange engineering degree certificates for all of us. But without iota of knowledge of engineering how can I get a job of an engineer? May be due my whitish complexion and Aryan eyes, the hotel owner gave me this job so that I can attract few young customers of the city.’ She again smiled.

‘Why you blamed the youngsters only? Even old people like me, may come again and again to your restaurant to see your beautiful smile.’ With a broad smile, I remarked with another teasing tone.
