Chapter 1: Introduction

My withered “hand”

Using the law of reflection, I view myself in a similar context to the man described in Mark 3:1-5 who had a withered hand, whom Jesus called out publically knowing that he had an embarrassing problem. While on earth, Jesus had a reputation of calling out fellowmen in public when they had a critical spirit, unteachable spirit or a selfish spirit. If you have any sort of disability, the last thing you want is for others to call attention to it in a public setting. This is exactly what happened in my life both metaphorically and literally. I have noticed people with a discoloration on their face, trying to camouflage it with make-up. In the same manner that I was hiding my addictions, there is a likelihood that the man with the withered hand kept it hidden under his coat so that no one would take notice.

Nevertheless, Mark 3:1-5 writes, ‘Jesus stared directly at the man who had the greatest need’ and He literally called him out loudly, “Come and stand here.” In other words, “Stand here for everyone to see your problem.” How embarrassing that must have been. I am left to wonder, whether Jesus did not consider the man’s feelings? I wonder what the impact of “public shaming” had on this man’s self-image and self-confidence! I wonder why Jesus chose to call attention to this man's disability instead of taking him aside in a private room.

I suppose the self-concept causes people to want to hide their embarrassing issues both from Jesus and from the public view. You ace your disability up the sleeve. I will ask you from a distance “How are you?” with no intention of waiting for your reply. Different types of disabilities ranging from emotional, social, financial, and spiritual have estranged fellowmen from one another. I noticed that the issues I was covering up were hindering my ability to experience an exceptionally better life. These issues had kept me estranged from God because I had sewed fig leaves to cover my ‘nakedness and the associated shame’ (cf. Genesis 3:7). However, I learned quickly that hope is not lost and that is why I am sharing my testimony in this book. Beloved, do you withdraw from the public because of the fear that your issue and private struggles might be exposed? Beloved reader, do you quickly change the subject when the issue is mentioned? Do you keep yourself distracted to avoid facing the truth? Do you divert your attention to other issues such as your career, success and assets? Do you easily get defensive, offended and angry when someone tries to bring up the issue? I used to do all of that; I used to cover my ‘nakedness’ by pursuing the latest gadgets, the latest clothes and fashion, until I could not do it anymore. I am glad that I

Jesus commanded the man with the withered hand to "Stretch out your hand" as a powerful sign that deliverance is at hand (cf. Exodus 7:14; Matthew 12:13). Jesus in essence, is instructing you and I to do what we have always assumed we could not do and be what we always assumed we could not do by the appropriation and assimilation of eternal principles. This is the key to turning ordinary situations into phenomenal ones. Peter turned an ordinary situation into extremely worthwhile one when he answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God”, thus pleasing the Lord wonderfully. I bet this is the reason why Christ made him the rock of the early Church.

There is power in the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ, even today. He is speaking to your withered situations so that you can be made whole again. I cannot help but wonder, whether out of a feeling of disgrace, this man could have decided to stretch out his agreeable left hand, saying to Jesus, “See, my hand can be extended, it is in an excellent condition!” I presume that if he had done that this man would have missed once in a lifetime glimmer of hope and an opportunity to receive restoration. However, in that very instant, before the entire assembly, he entrusted himself to the Omnipotent love by extending his awkward withered right hand in the hope for restoration, “and it was restored, as sound as the other” (Matthew 12:13). As the Son did wonders because He knew the Father who art in Heaven because He was One with Him and abided in Him, you as dear child of Father are one with Christ and the Holy Spirit is your spiritual illumination which will make God a Father to you enabling you to do greater deeds.

Beloved reader, I was restored to a fullness of life; only when I had sunk into a state of total despair did I respond to the Lord calling me publicly to an exceptionally beautiful life in Himself. My friend, Jesus is not timid; He will summon you to show up so that He can be One with you!

He summoned the immoral Samaritan woman at the well, telling her, “Go call your husband, and come back” (John 4:16). He summoned the young rich ruler saying to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor…” (Matthew 19:21).

Jesus on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter (who by now was dead) suddenly stopped surrounded by a busy crowd, and zealously demanded to know, “Who touched my clothes?” (Mark 5:30). A woman who had hemorrhaged for over a decade, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling, fell before Jesus, and confessed in public "the whole truth" what she had done and why. How uncomfortable, it must have been for this woman, whose only fault was her great desire to get her hemorrhage to stop and go her way silently without ever being noticed (cf. Mark 5:25–34). How beautiful that the issue that had troubled her stopped immediately by faith. The blessedness, had entered into this woman’s life and the virtue was manifested outwardly in form of healing.

Dear friend, what is this issue of ‘blood’ that could be troubling you? Her womb was not a productive for twelve years and she was incapable of conceiving. The same faith that had caused the issue made her well. He ‘mind; was cleansed of her former concept of self, cleansed of the issue of blood, and now joined the procession towards the house of the dead child saying, “The child is not dead, she but sleeps”. My life changed dramatically when I did away with limited reasoning, the natural logic and began to walk in this bold assertion of that my senses denied I am.

Dear blessed one, in your life, do you have an embarrassing issue that Jesus Christ pleads you to confess in public so that you too may receive His wholeness? You have three choices, either to continue hiding among the crowd, or to stretch out your perfect hand so that you can camouflage your handicap, or to boldly stretch-out your withered hand and be made whole. What do you choose? This choice involves a definite and conscious act of the will, that says, “Choose from this day whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15). Dear friend choose to be the great Joshua who choose good success and receive the following promise, “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you” (Joshua 1:3).

Conquest over addictions is possible by the power of the Holy Spirit. I overcame alcoholism by the power of the Holy Spirit. I can attest that healing is possible by the blood of Jesus Christ.

I apprehended that a beautiful super-abundant life was conditional to loving the Lord Jesus Christ, by disowning my former lifestyle and choosing a super abundant life and lifestyle. This repentance is not a pledge or a mere determination to live a better life. The prodigal son being disgusted with the husks of his current life, promised himself that he would return to his father’s house, but that was not enough (Luke 15:18). The old age axiom says, “The way to Hell is paved with good intentions.” The Prodigal took a step further; he left the pigsty, and began the journey of going back home. He repented his former life and lifestyle, he changed his MIND, he changed his FEELINGS, he changed his PURPOSE and he changed his BEHAVIOR and he changed his DIRECTION all which led to a better destination. Upon returning home he declared his unworthiness saying, “Father, I am no longer worthy…” (Luke 15:21). The changed person with his eyes set upon the living Heavenly Father, will offer his heart saying,

“My soul thirsts for God, forgive my iniquities, and remember my sin no more. I thank You for the blood of the Lamb because in You I have redemption and the forgiveness of sin according to Your riches of grace. Be merciful to me, forgive me my inequities and consider no more my wayward ways. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I thank You for the gift of Your inconceivable grace, the gift of Christ, through whom Divine pardon is granted to me.”

The Prodigal abandoned the wayward ways he once took pleasure in and then went further onto demonstrate, his earnest grief for having gone wayward. Within each of the Father’s children is an unconquerable longing for Home where there is bread (of life) enough and to spare. As was with the Prodigal, an authentic change in mind will include an honest confession of your iniquities, without making any excuses. You have to be willing to say, “Dear Heavenly Father, I have sinned against Heaven and in your sight. From now onwards, it is settled in my own mind that You alone, by the power of the Holy Spirit, can teach me, and that, therefore, to You only will I inquire for all blessings and not in the far country. ”

During periods when I faced extreme darkness, I said to myself, “I do not want to live on a rollercoaster anymore, or like a hamster on a treadmill.” I cannot begin to imagine how my life today would be, if I decided to blame my relatives for my misery saying, “My lifestyle would not be this messed up, and I would not have sinned if you had not been such an insensitive father. I would not have gotten into trouble if you had given me support and love.” The Prodigal did not blame the fact that he had to live in the shadows of his high-achieving brother; he admitted his folly by confessing, “Father, I have sinned.” He changed his mental script and a change within triggered an external change. Darkness is expelled by the light and not by more darkness. ‘All this and Heaven too!’ is about surrendering the darkness so that the light can penetrate and heal every area of your life. You imagine and rewrite your mental file and that new script will set you free, for “He calls those things which be-not as though they were” (Romans 4:17). Though man looks upon the outward appearance to be his reality, the Lord looks upon the heart” (I Samuel 16:7).” “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

Only after I took full responsibility for my actions, I took control and responsibility of my mind. I began to take significant steps towards the journey of recovery and transformation. As a result, I am amazed that peace, happiness, joy, sobriety, prosperity, a more abundant life, and an exceptionally beautiful Better Lifestyle is a reality. I began putting together the art of transforming ordinary situations into superbly extraordinary ones. I am amazed at how much I underestimated the power that is within to transform without. My inner and my outer life was beautifully coming into alignment. Like the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at the well, I said to myself and it would be unfair to experience the light and hide it under a bushel (cf. John 4). Therefore, I made the most appropriate choice that I could comprehend of sharing this good news with others and I have never looked back. In retrospect, I can confidently state the key to treasures of Heaven is not found in chasing the desires of the heart, but in chasing after the Lord Himself! This means going inside your heart and mind and beginning to recreate your life in ways that no other person can comprehend but yourself.

I once heard that teaching people how to pray is not as effective as them learning how to pray by themselves out of life tribulations and challenges. Prayer, I mean shutting the world outside so that you can focus and commune with the Father and bring your mind and heart into alignment with His will. During extremely challenging times, you will not need a prayer revival or a manual to teach you how to pray. I learned this principle first hand. I did not need anyone to teach me how to pray and ASK in the name of Jesus during the times I was going through extremely dark moments. I learned firsthand to connect with my inner emotions and persist in that state until my life began to transform in front of my very eyes.

Dear loving one, if you are suffering in any area of your life be it physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, intellectual or social, I encourage you to adopt the following prayer that I have prayed on behalf of those precious metals that are going through the refinery. Put your faith in the Father for He is able to do exceedingly and above what you could have wished or comprehended for and you will emerge as a beautiful jewel on the other side. The Lord will quicken your very life that you may be nourished, comforted, quickened and healed lacking nothing.

Bring your tears and let Him wipe them while you may,

Bring your broken heart to Christ Jesus,

He will wipe all your tears away.

Part one prayer for healing

Heavenly Father, who art in Heaven, I come before Your Throne of grace and mercy in thanksgiving for Your infinite love for Your people. I ask You to touch everyone who needs healing in various parts of their lives, be it physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, intellectually or socially. Some of them are in a great battle with illnesses that seeks to destroy their body, mind and soul. In the name of Jesus Christ, I ask for a Divine healing virtue to surge through their bodies right now, from the crowns of their heads to the soles of their feet. I pray for the inflowing life of Christ in their lives. Heal every disappointment, grief and sorrow and fill Your people with abundant love, fullness of joy and perfect peace. Heal their emotions, their finances, their physical bodies, their minds, and their spirit as they abide in You. Let them enjoy the blessedness of Your healing and deliverance. I proclaim this moment that the living Christ belongs to Your people in all His attributes and powers. Your children are members of His body, His flesh and His bones. I pray that they will believe and receive His healing and deliverance, so that they can live upon the very life of Your Son. I pray that the Holy Spirit will keep Your children filled with vitality healthful and fullness of afresh life, and love and power in Christ Jesus.

Blessed Father, I thank You for the blood of Jesus Christ that brought hope to those who once were strangers to Your Covenant, to the promise. I confess that the spirit of infirmity has no place in the lives of Your people. I bring their grievances, sorrows, the strained and broken social ties before you for divine healing. Father give them grace to make right with all with whom they have wronged. Heavenly Father I ask that You shall dry their tears of a sorrow, healing the broken-hearted, binding up the wounds of human lives, and uniting heart-to-heart, and earth to Heaven in Your children’s lives. Today, supply them the fullness of joy and splendid blessing that will come out of the things that have caused them nothing but sorrow, regret, tribulations and pain. I give thanks in the knowledge that our Lord Jesus Christ broke down the barrier and brought us unity so that all who believe can receive Your salvation. I pray that my dear readers will rejoice in the gift of Your salvation, of knowing you, in your revelation, which we could never have achieved, merited or earned by ourselves. Therefore, every disease and sickness shall come under the authority of the cross because You have given us a healing in fullness, and it is received right now. Your people are the spiritual seed of Abraham and everything that is not in harmony with that seed will be brought into a Divine harmony of health and healing by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Part two a confession to receiving healing

Lord, I pray that Your daily works will be manifested in every area of my life. How great are Your marvelous works, O Lord! Moreover, Your thoughts concerning me are very deep indeed! Your Word has promised that I will be in health and prosper even as my soul prospers. By the power of victorious Christ, I claim perfect strength and perfect health. I confess that in the way of righteousness, I will partake Your life and in Your pathway thereof, I will not experience lack on earth nor eternal death. I will live in consciousness of You my Lord for hidden under the rock nothing can hurt my soul. And ‘now who will harm me if I am eager to do what is good? I will use my mind as You have given me a beautiful mind to enjoy a more abundant life. You are the Lord that heals me. I receive that healing power right now in Jesus’ name, Amen!

I proclaim a healing in the promise of the Father,

I proclaim a healing in the blood of the Lamb,

I proclaim a strength for all weaknesses,

I proclaim a power and deliverance in the risen Son of the Father.

I proclaim a healing balm in Gilead,

Christ is the Great Physician.

Just like I did, my beloved reader, you too shall receive healing as a fulfillment of what had been spoken through Prophet Isaiah, ‘He took your infirmities and bore your diseases’ (Matthew 8:17). He is your Healer, to those areas that you desire healing and deliverance. Jesus Christ purchased your healing, and He releases it supernaturally to those who are in union with Him. All you have to do is to ask Him to touch you once more as you confess that your ‘hand is withered’. Make it known to the Lord that you yearn to be made whole. “According to your faith, it will be done unto you” (Matthew 9:29). This is your time to arise by faith and the enemies of your mind to be defeated. Without faith, it would be impossible to tap into the exceptional Better life because faith is an absolute conviction that the unseen will become seen. In all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, in faith and in believing, you shall receive. A lack of faith means holding on to unbelief that the things you desire do not exist. I encourage you to keep your gaze fixed tenaciously on the new life that you desire and it will be established. Use the confession below for receiving a healing to support you in your prayers. I pray that from today onward, you will enjoy the blessed secret of spiritual victory and joy, of physical life and divine healing, and all power that need to create products and to service multitudes. The confession for healing below is a prayer for your health, which none but those who believe in the healing of the body, mind and soul can fully comprehend. The very Christ is dwelling in you. He is the foundation of divine healing and physical redemption, you and He are One.

A Confession for Healing

Blessed Father, how powerful is Your redeeming love as I hereby confess Your Word regarding healing. As I do this, I believe and say that Your Word will not return empty but will accomplish its purpose in my life.

Father, from this day on, I will meditate and write Your Word on the tablet of my heart and in mind I confess I am whole. Lord, Your Word is the supernaturally energized force of Heaven that speaks promises of healing and restoration in my body.

Therefore, as I read the Word, I believe that I am receiving my healing. I claim a supernatural healing because Your own Word says that Jesus took my infirmities and diseases. Your Word, Lord, is the wellspring that gives me a better life and healing to my entire body. Standing within Your reign and rule, I ask for a restoration and with great boldness and confidence. I declare with authority from the written Word that I am redeemed from the curse of sickness, and I refuse to tolerate its symptoms. I believe that Jesus Christ redeemed me from the curse of the law. Jesus bore my sins in His own body on the tree so that I might live for righteousness by whose stripes I was healed.

Isaiah 58:6 reminds me that You untied the cords of the yoke to set the oppressed free, breaking every yoke. I will not fear the terror by night nor the arrow that flies by day. Isaiah 53:5 reminds me that Jesus Christ was wounded for my transgressions. Jesus was bruised for my iniquities. He experienced chastisement for my peace was upon Him and by His stripes, so I am healed. My flesh and my heart may fail, but You are the strength of my heart and my portion forever. From today onward, I will be filled with Your Holy Spirit who will repel the elements of sickness that threaten to contaminate the air as the red-hot iron repels the water that touches it.

Therefore, Satan, I speak to you in the mighty name of Jesus that your powers and principalities of darkness be bound from operating against me in any way. Though 1,000 may fall at my left side and 10,000 at my right, he will not come nigh me because I belong to the Most High God whose promises to preserve me through the blood of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Dearly Beloved, sing the following thanksgiving song as you, rejoicing and trust, in His full salvation, and praising the Heavenly Father for the glorious health of the risen Lord and for your continual youthfulness. There is a word that will deliver your soul, which is “I will trust.” There is a word that makes the sick and suffering to be restored into wholeness, which is “I will trust.” Trust is a powerful key to accomplishing all that you ask.

‘Bless the Lord, with all your soul,

And with all that is within your heart,

Bless His holy name.

Moreover, do not forget all His benefits,

He forgives all your iniquity,

He heals all your diseases,

He redeems your life from the pit,

He crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

He satisfies you with good as long as you live,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagles.’

Dear friend, let me take this opportunity to share a healing testimony from my dear friend, Happiness, which I pray will encourage you to depend on the Lord for restoration so that you can begin to partake in 'All this and Heaven too!' Be blessed!

A Testimony by Happiness

I am a born again Christian; I moved from being a foreigner in relations to being the child of God in 1998. God helped me live a purposeful life with Jesus directing my ways, regulating how I speak and how I relate to other people. I have seen God working miracles in my life, as I was created with a purpose in the beginning of his ways before everything Proverbs 8:22. My testimony is based on the book of Psalms (62 verses 1- 2) my soul waits upon the Lord, as He is my rock, strength, my salvation, and my defense. During times of trouble and trials, I will firmly stand by the name of Jesus Christ against any illnesses and disabilities. The Bible in the book of I John 5 verse 10 says the one who believes in Him has a testimony.

I have been suffering from a chronic back problem not knowing where exactly the pain was coming from, I could not walk properly and the pain was unbearable. I visited a couple of private doctors and different hospitals. The result of their diagnoses was that I was born with a space between my bones that connects my lower back with the spinal cord called "Spinal Bifida Occult." Usually, children who are born with SBO deficiency are unable to walk; some of them are on wheelchairs. It came as a shock to all the doctors who examined me that I could stand and sit properly let alone walk without any support.

One of the doctors decided that the only solution to my back problem was to perform an operation. He took care of all the preparations; the operation was scheduled for 29 June 2012. I was taken into the theatre by 11 am, I remember the doctor who put me to sleep with an injection asking me if I had anything to say before they continue with the procedure. I did not say much, but I remembered that I have a heart problem, which means I might not wake up after the operation. It was my first time in the theatre and already my heart started to give trouble. But I trusted the Lord for He says in the book of Hebrews 11:6) without faith it is impossible to please God for whosoever calls His name must believe that He is always there listening as the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

I began reciting Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” I do not remember finishing the injection as its effects had already taken over and I was dead asleep. After the doctors had finished the procedure, they waited the usual time that is always given to patients who have been in theatre to recover from the injection. Two, three, four hours passed and the girl is not up, they tried all the life-supporting instruments they had, still no response. They all started to be worried, towards the fifth hour they declared me dead, undressed me, and removed all the life support apparatus they were using. Just when they were about to remove the oxygen my heart started working again. I woke up surrounded by more than two doctors, nurses, and theatre staff looking at me as if I was some sort of a ghost. That was truly God’s miracle.

I just looked at the situation as God’s plan to give me another chance to change my life. David says in the book of Psalms 37:25 “He was young and now He is old but he never seen the righteous forsaken….” God is promising us that if we cast our burdens upon Him; he will surely sustain us and will never allow us to suffer. Who am I not to give praise to the Lord that He deserves. No matter how hard life can be I will worship God. As the bible in the book of Ecclesiastes 10:4, reads “If the spirit of the ruler rises up against thee, leave not thy place; for perseverance prevents you from sinning”. We are serving the God who keeps His Word; there is a script in the book of Isiah 38:5, where God was communicating with Hezekiah confirming that He listens to prayers when called by those who seek help. I regard myself as fortunate that I called God and He listened to my prayer. Cast all your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you (I Peter 5:7) God listens and answers prayers if done with faith.

Since then, I wanted to stay Holy until the day the Lord decides to take my life. The word of God says “keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye” (Proverbs 7:2). Today I do not feel any pain in my back I am completely healed. I can even drive the car without feeling any pain. I hope my testimony will also motivate especially those who have just given up in life due to illnesses that they are facing, that there is still a chance only if you believe that God is the solution to your problems. No matter how heavy your burden is, God is there to make it lighter, He is the God of second chances. He never disappoints. You will receive whatever you have asked for in the name of Jesus. In the book of John 14:13-14 God’s promise to us that we will ask whatever we want and He will gladly do it only if we trust in Him. In the book of Psalm 37:4 God says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you all the desires of your heart.” This entails the Better Lifestyle that your heart desires. We are all destined to be Happy in life.

Your dear friend, Happiness

Dear beloved, I pray that the story of Happiness has inspired you to hold you to the One truth and that is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Most High, who gave His life as ransom for many. Continuing with my testimony, out of the ashes of despair, I learned the art of surrendering ‘all in all’ and in the process I adopted a new motto that has made my life journey more joyous that says, ‘God you are my all in all’ (I Corinthians 15:28). Prayer is a form surrender, an abandoning oneself so that what you ask can be given unto you. Surrender is the opposite and the greatest enemy is self-effort and toiling. Thus, every day, day-to-day, daily, and moment-by-moment I am engaged in the process of surrendering myself and handing over all challenges, troubles of that day to my glorified Christ. I learned to adopt the Lord’s Prayer (cf. Luke 11) that I may receive a daily fresh portion of the manna for ONE day otherwise it will decay the next day. Indeed, is life not a series of ONE day well lived? I realized that if I did not live each day well, then the sum total would be 365 days lived in regret or in self-toil. That is how premature aging happens by allowing each day to pass by without enjoying and celebrating in that day that has been given to you.

I began to adopt the philosophy of “Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” and this is what brought this book into embodiment. I began to experience a restfulness that I never imagined was possible as I learned to be still and wait on God to do marvelous deeds, with a waiting expectation that His will be done in and through me. I began to adopt and meditate on Psalm 62 saying,

“For God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall never be shaken” (Verse 1-2).

This waiting means a satisfaction in each moment that is. Salvation means accepting the truth that the invisible will unfold as I practice steadfastness and do away with wavering spirit. Indeed, “The Kingdom of God cannot be detected by visible signs” (Luke 17:20). Salvation is not by the works of sweating of your brow but learning the art of surrender. In silence I “open my eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest” (John 4:35).

My prayer is that my beloved reader, you too will accept this beautiful invitation to commence and conclude each day by sojourning before the balconies of Heaven in your heart, spirit and your mind, and allowing meeting with the Prince of Peace to touch and bless the going out and going in of your day.

I also pray that I will be able to draw many to the Master’s table, which is His universal purpose for the world. I went to Him out of desperation for living water so that I would not have to go the well in search of water again and indeed He satisfied my thirst (cf. John 4:1-15). He is longing to do the same to you in all areas of your life. The water that is fleeting will not do, but in you will become a well of a better life.

I also pray that you shall joyfully abide in Christ and bear much fruit as you enter into an intimate relationship with God out of pure motives of desiring to be One with Him in love, in awe and in joy, rather than seeking Him as your last resort (cf. John 15). I wonder how the Father feels when we seek a relationship with Him as the last frailest refuge. In a similar manner, you have to love your mind, your heart so that in times of trouble they will be your companion and not strangers. Is it appropriate to approach His Throne of grace and mercy only when you have fallen into despair like the Prodigal or in your deathbed or during periods of extreme challenges or when a career and relationships have sucked the very life out of the bones? Certainly not, nevertheless, like the Prodigal Father, will accept you back with radical love even though deep down, He knows you came back home as a last resort.

The joy of the Lord is the strength of your life,

The gladness of Jesus Christ, is the balm for your misery,

His life and His fullness, is your fountain of truest of deliverance,

His joy, your tonic for your body, your mind and your soul.

I also pray that you shall enter into the Father’s blessed house and experience His lavish endless love. Prodigal means reckless, lavish, extravagant, unrestrained, to the point of being what some would consider careless and wasteful. Hence, the ‘Prodigal Father’ is extravagant in giving, overflowing grace, mercy, abundant tender love to His children. The Lord’s tide of love flowing through your body will strangely strengthen your very frame, and the love of Christ will become a continual spring of youth and freshness in your physical being. The Father longs for His son to long for Him. As it happened to me, the Heavenly Father knows that taking the "toys" away will cause you to pursue Him with reckless abandonment. A shift in your expectations will take place when you move your focus away from things, from creations, and from blessings by shifting your gaze to the Creator and the Blesser Himself. When I came to the realization that the Father desired that I love Him for Himself and not for His provisions, I began to experience more fulfillment because He was making known to me His mysteries beyond material possessions. Indeed, He is the Owner of the possessions and having Him is the best part.

I also pray that you too shall begin the process of abandoning and letting go of attachments to anything that could be hindering you so that you can only attach yourself to the True Vine, to the better part. It is in losing your life that you shall find an exceptional Better Lifestyle in Him, by ‘denying what you see in the natural so that you see the invisible’ (Matthew 10:39; 16:24). Whoever denies and leaves his ‘house’ of limitations of birth- mother, father, brothers, sisters and acknowledges that he is but an extension of his family tree, of his environment, and of self-limiting beliefs will receive a double portion-a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.

My life and lifestyle were in shambles and I came to Him for restoration. Consequently, I started the Better Lifestyle as a form of daily prayer and communion, a going within during a period where I was going through dark moments. This was a dark period where I was living between a rock and a hard place. I began to learn to wait with expectations as I slowly began to awaken and I was lovingly grafted the True Vine, the source of all good things. The Father, the Husbandman relentlessly was cutting down the long shoots, which previously were leaving me feeling drained and unmotivated. It was during this period of pruning that I heard His voice communicating with my heart saying, "You are meant to bring joy and love to the world."

I also pray that you too shall hear the voice of the Father from within your soul in stillness as you abandon the noisy environment of the past. In so doing you can partake in His vineyard and experience a beautiful super-abundant life. I resisted the call, I could not comprehend why God was going to "use" me to inspire others knowing that I had such a long list of failure, living in a far land, having in the past considered myself a misfit and not able to fit in situations and circumstances. I tried to fit into the society's expectations and I ended up suffering from the illusion of chasing ‘success’ in vain. Then, I surrendered, as an acknowledgment of my personal impotence- “By myself I can do nothing”. On the sixth day creation was finished, my life is not about forcing things into existence. I slowly began to let go of my thoughts, and yielded to the new life that I desired. Only then, did I hear the gentle whispers of God telling me, "Wanjiru, now you are ready to do the work that I have predestined for you." My response was "Lord, how can I do that, knowing that I do not have a theology degree, I did not complete Bible school, I am a sinner" However, the voice was clear "Wanjiru, my daughter, wake up and do what I have I preordained for you." That is why I came to consult with Mr. Baraka for guidance with tears in my eyes and so many questions plaguing my mind, which constitute this book.

I also pray that the Lord will show you what is at hand as you learn to let go of the past in order to behold 'All this and Heaven too!' You have to let go because you cannot carry the weight of your disappointment into the Will of the Heavenly Father’s purpose and promises. When I look back, I can relate to the calling of John the Baptist, the servant of God who, used to spark a great revival in preparation for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. John preached the Gospel of repentance. John preached the same sermon every day saying, "Repent," not for the reason that the people were evil or wicked. Repentance was a call for the people to change their mind, to experience a rebirth and focus on the present that was in their hands. To change how you think of the Kingdom of Heaven. John could not show them the present moment, the incoming of the n life until they detached themselves from the past. Without a complete and radical transformation you will continue to live in the wilderness as John portrayed with his lifestyle directionless allowing your animal instincts to run wild. However, the moment you begin to domesticate your animal instincts and call them into a state of discipleship, will from within will emerge strength and you will receive baptism in the water of truth.

Through John the Baptist, the Heavenly Father, the Husbandman was getting ready to cleanse their religious traditions, their thinking styles so that they could be grafted in the True Vine. Rather than a circumcision of the outer flesh according to the religious traditions, a spiritual circumcision of the heart had to occur, “made without hands”, to cut away the self-limiting ties that bind. The darkness removed so that they can be a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. This is what the Lord desires for each one of His children, to give them a new heart by a transplant of the former that is not fully functional. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” ‘Pure’ means ‘katharos’, catheter, to be pure, your mind must be cleared of all obstructions, and the heart must be cleared of the self- limiting beliefs. Only when you do this, will you be blessed, for you will know the truth that sets free.

Bring to the Heavenly Father your entire burden,

Bring to Him every need in prayers and thanksgiving,

Trust Him for the darkest hour,

His yoke is light, what need do you care?

Bring your mustard absolute faith before Him,

Clothe yourself with the garments of praise,

Enter His courts with thanksgiving.

Surrender and call things that are not seen as though they were, and the invisible will become visible.

I also pray that you shall experience a change both in your heart and in your mind. This repentance resonates with my life. The Prodigal repented in his heart and in his mind whilst still in the pigsty. He ultimately realized that the real treasure was his father’s love; that the purpose was better than the profit. Repentance as a thought in his head by the Prodigal was not enough. It needed to be followed by taking action. He did not just sit there feeling depressed in the pigsty thinking, "I should go back to my father someday." Although the Prodigal was felt terrible about his sins, he decided to go back home, even if only as a servant. He got up and made that long journey back home. Like the prodigal son, I needed to change my mind, my ways, my behaviors, my habits and negative self-limiting beliefs as well as to take the necessary steps in seeking reconciliation with my God and fellow brethren. I have since experienced a great and unceasing joy after being reconciled with the Heavenly Father. My desire now is to serve Him by sharing the good news with others, like the Samaritan woman who ran into the villages shouting; "Come and see a man who has told me all the things that I have done in my life" (cf. John 4). It is a wonderful privilege. However, I have to admit, I did not know where to start, and that is why I went to see Mr. Baraka for guidance.

I also pray that it come to be revealed to you the purpose for which God has predestined for your life. John was set apart unto God while in his mother's womb, that is exactly how the Lord was telling me, that He knew me in my mother's womb (Jeremiah 1:5). God never forgot me, even during moments that I was jumping from one type of addiction to another, while living in vanity and hopelessness. I was dealing with issues only superficially, moving jumping from the frying pan, into the fire. I would recover from one form of addiction and then replace that with a new form of addiction. I realized that I needed a change in my mind followed by a change in my actions.

I also pray that you shall bear beautiful succinate exceedingly magnificent fruits in all areas of your Better Lifestyle. O’ Beloved brethren, bearing much fruit will be by abiding in the Holy True Vine, entering into a fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If this is your desire, I encourage you to repeat the following prayer thus giving yourself wholly to Christ. Accept the invitation to enjoy the heavenly mystery by accepting the pardon of sin. Allow from this moment Christ to work all and have all in your life, filled with the knowledge that as in nature so it is in the natural, the branch is nothing without the vine. Your mind sustains and keeps the branches that you feed. For the branch to withers and die all you need to do is remove your attention. Allow your sap to flow towards things that matter.

I have heard, my Lord, that with every command, He also supplies the power to obey. You will as you become conscious of situations you will feed them and effortlessly bring them into being without a sweating of your brow. He commanded “Stand up and walk,” and one who was once an invalid leaped forward (cf. John 5:1-9). Jesus commanded life and restoration into being because He was already that. How beautiful that you have the power to command yourself to what you already are. The mustard seed commands itself into a mustard and not into an apple tree. You must command yourself to be that which you would have appear by bringing your attention into it. Command yourself into excellent health and it will be so. Command yourself into poverty and it will be so.

Prayer for reconciliation with the Heavenly Father

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the abundant grace, which is as a result of being in union with You through Jesus Christ. Father, I accept Your Word, “Abide in me,” as a powerful Word, that supplies me with power, and even now I say, Yes, Lord, I will abide in You. I thank You that You shall give me only a branch to bear much fruit. It is with a joyful expectation for without grace, none can enjoy an intimate relationship with You for man has fallen short. Lord help me to know You more intimately and deeply, for You are my ONE desire, my ONE occupation of my heart. I humbly wait on You that You shall reveal Yourself in my life.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for desiring a relationship with me. Thank You for seeing me, like the Prodigal even when I am far away from You. I was filled with gladness to know that You lavishly love me.

Today, I remember people in my life who are far away from You. Some have known You, whilst others have wandered off. Others have never known You. Heavenly Father as You look for them, Lord, may they “come to themselves” and begin the process of relationship restoration with You. Guide me so that I will share the good news, as the woman at the well did. So that many will draw closer to experiencing a permanent restoration and thirst no more. From today onward, I will begin and end each day with You to know in truth that I am abiding in You and You in me. I pray all this believing and perfectly trusting in You. Amen.

Holy Comforter, I welcome You in all areas of my life;

Welcome into my heart, O’ my Holy Guest,

Heavenly Peaceful Dove dwell within,

Make my heart Your dwelling place and build Your home;

Lead me on to all Your fullness,

Bring me to Your Promised perfect peace and restfulness of soul,

Holy Gentle Dove, I welcome You home,

Come and dwell in my heart forevermore Amen.

Dear reader, having briefly explored the power that is given you to call withered situations into a state of perfect restoration, I will examine “where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?’

Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?

Elisha was Elijah’s successor. Elisha for nine years had worked and studied under Elijah his master. II Kings 2 is an account of how Elijah was taken into Heaven by a chariot of fire. Elisha was left with Elijah’s mantle because he had asked for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit. As Elisha was heading back home, one question burned in his mind as he took up Elijah’s mantle and walked to the bank of Jordan – “Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” (II Kings 2:14). “Is Elijah’s God with me, and is He still the same? In our better life, establishing that the Father’s Spirit is within is the ONE thing that really matters!” To seek positive evidence that the Father was with him, Elisha struck the waters with the mantle – and immediately they were divided, and the onlookers who saw him at a distance, declared, "The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha." They were in awe for they established that the Heavenly Father was indeed with Elisha! What is the lesson for you beloved? The powerful lesson contained in Elisha’s story is that the Father in Heaven is still the same and His power is undiminished. His servants may pass on, situations, circumstances and times may change, but He is eternal! He is your Heavenly Father today and tomorrow (cf. Hebrews 13:8). It was only by assuming a state of persistency in the assumption that he was going to receive a double portion did the subtle changes his mind which resulted in the desired change in his life. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate you” from your 3Ps (persistence, patience, perseverance) coming into fruition of what you aspire (Romans 8:38-39). They have no choice but to respond in harmony to your maintained attitude of your better life fulfilled.
