Introduction

The Gift of Giving

As you approach your day remember that the positive flow of life is based on the harmonious interaction between all of nature. There is a flow in life that is powerful when there is a dynamic exchange between giving and receiving. Without this flow, there will be stagnancy and atrophy and you will feel unfulfilled.

In Giving, it can be a material gift, a donation, a single flower, a compliment, a kiss, a note of appreciation, a silent blessing. Make a decision to give wherever you go.

Say, “Good Morning” to the people you see on your way to work; look at them, smile at them, hold the door, wish them a silent blessing. Call a friend and tell them how much they mean to you. Tell your children how much they have lovingly impacted your life. Make more eye contact, listen more, bring someone you love a flower, a compliment.

Allowing Yourself to Receive

In Receiving, you allow yourself to appreciate what you have received not only today but in the whole of your life; you embrace the beauty of your world.

Today, graciously and consciously accept all the gifts that your life offers you. Sit outside for a few minutes and close your eyes and feel, really feel, the pulse of the day. The feel of the warm breeze on your face, the sounds of the birds singing, the scent of the day, the sound of people talking, children laughing, rain falling, the scent of fresh cut grass... Close your eyes and silently receive the day and for a moment appreciate your life; receive the simple beauty of your life.

Life is the eternal dance of consciousness, and by planting and expressing this intention you allow yourself to walk through the day with purpose and appreciation. Circulate caring, love and appreciation and notice how your day flows from that offering.

I will put the law of giving and receiving into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:

1. Wherever I go, and whomever I encounter, I will bring them a gift. The gift may be a compliment, a flower, or a prayer. Today, I will give something to everyone I come into contact with, and so I will begin the process of circulating joy, wealth and affluence in my life and in the lives of others.

2. Today I will gratefully receive all the gifts that life has to offer me. I will receive the gifts of nature: sunlight and the sound of birds singing, or spring showers or the first snow of winter. I will also be open to receiving from others, whether it be in the form of a material gift, money, a compliment or a prayer.

3. I will make a commitment to keep wealth circulating in my life by giving and receiving life’s most precious gifts: the gifts of caring, affection, appreciation and love. Each time I meet someone, I will silently wish them happiness, joy and laughter.

” Life is a constant flow of giving and receiving; this flow prevents stagnancy and breathes meaning into your world.”

The Law of Giving and Receiving

The second spiritual law of success, the Law of Giving and Receiving, is based on the fact that everything in the universe operates through dynamic exchange. Every relationship is one of give and take because giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. If we stop the flow of energy, we interfere with nature’s intelligence. We must give and receive in order to keep money, or anything we want, circulating in our lives. Currency, our word for money, derives from a Latin word meaning “to run or flow.” Money is a symbol of the life energy we give and the life energy we receive as a result of the service we provide to others. Like a river, money must keep flowing, otherwise it begins to clog and stagnate. Circulation keeps it alive and vital. If we stop the circulation of life energy, if our intention is to hold on to our money and hoard it, we stop its circulation back into our lives. The intention behind our giving and receiving is the most important thing. When the act of giving is joyful, when it is unconditional and from the heart, then the energy behind the giving increases many times over. But if we give grudgingly, there is no energy behind that giving. If we feel we have lost something through the act of giving, then the gift is not truly given and will not cause increase.

The Law of Giving and Receiving is simple: If you want love, learn to give love, if you want attention and appreciation, learn to give attention and appreciation, if you want material affluence, help others to become materially affluent. If you want to be blessed with all the good things in life, learn to silently bless everyone with all the good things in life. The more you give, the more you will receive. In your willingness to give that which you seek, you will keep the abundance of the universe circulating in your life. Abundance has material expression, but what is really circulating is consciousness. Even the thought of giving, the thought of blessing, or a simple prayer has the power to affect others. We are bundles of thought in a thinking universe, and thought has the power to transform. The best way to experience the Law of Giving and Receiving is to give a gift to everyone you come into contact with. This doesn’t have to be in the form of material things. The gifts of caring, affection, appreciation, and love are some of the most precious gifts you can give, and they don’t cost you anything. One of the things I was taught as a child is never to go to anyone’s house without bringing a gift. You may say, “How can I give to others when I don’t have enough myself?” You can bring a note that says something about your feelings for the person you’re visiting. You can bring a flower, a compliment, or a prayer. Whenever you meet someone, silently send that person a blessing. This kind of silent giving is very powerful. Give wherever you go, and as you give, you will receive. As you receive, the more your ability to give will increase, and the more you’ll gain confidence in the miraculous effects of this law. There is nothing you lack, because your essential nature is one of pure potentiality and infinite possibilities. You are inherently affluent no matter how much or how little money you have, because the source of all wealth is the field of pure potentially that knows how to fill every need. Giving and receiving are nothing other than the flow of life—the harmonious interaction of all elements and forces that structure the field of existence. The exchange of energy is the process that has its own timing, organization and beauty. Your life unfolds in the same way. Everything that comes to you, isn’t something you earn, but a gift freely given by the universe, which means it comes from a deep awareness of what you need. Think of all the things that have been freely given to you without your having to ask for them. Just experiencing gratitude allows you to participate in the law of Giving and Receiving. Nature supports your every need and desire, including your need for joy, love, laughter, harmony, and knowledge. Seek these things first—not only for yourself, but for others—and all else will spontaneously come to you.

To Experience the Law

of Giving and Receiving:

Give a gift to everyone you encounter, be it a compliment, a flower, or a prayer. This will begin the process of circulating joy and affluence in your life and in the lives of others.

Gratefully receive every gift that life offers you. Be open to receiving, whether it be a material gift from others, a compliment, or a prayer.

Silently wish everyone you encounter happiness, joy and laughter. By giving and receiving the gifts of caring, affection, appreciation, and love you will keep wealth circulating in your life.

Giving: It’s what it’s all about.

One of the greatest laws is the law of giving.

It is a phenomenal law. Give freely and happily. Always form a habit of giving cheerfully.

Give first before you receive. Whatever energy you give will come back to you in an amazing way. You may give away your time, for example, and it comes back to you much later from an unexpected source in an unexpected form in a way that benefits you greatly. You cannot insist on a particular way and time it will come back to you, but you can be assured it will come back in the best way for you.

Give. Give. Give. And do so cheerfully and freely. It is the energy behind the giving that matters so do not give grudgingly. The law of cause and effect guarantees that you shall receive plenty for what you give.

Life is for Giving…

Give what you have of your – time, money, smiles, love, compliments, anything. And you will get back what you do not have on you.

Give graciously and receive gratefully. Grace and gratitude are the energizing factors of giving and receiving.

By taking care of society and nature, you take care of yourself. Share with and give to nature and society often. It is the goose that lays the golden eggs, and it needs to be protected and nourished so that it can protect and nourish you.

Share. Give. Help others. In the proportion and to the extent that you cause others to build their wealth, so will you build your wealth.

Invest some money in financial services and institutions that lend money to others and enable others to build wealth. This is another great way for you to take care of society, to make it wealthy so that you may also get wealthier from it. The Universe is all energy. Energy flows. Giving promotes this energy flow, placing you in harmony with the powers of the Universe. Whatever you wish to have, because another being to have it first, and you will begin to have it in abundance.

Give and you will receive in multiples. For example, if you wish to have wealth, show others how to have wealth, and in an amazing way, you will soon find yourself wealthy. It is a very complicated system that works perfectly. Give cheerfully!

Share, share, share. It is an investment bank with the Universe that returns to you with amazing interest. Share gladly and genuinely.

What you wish to have, cause another to have. To have wealth and abundance cause another to have it. How do you cause others to have wealth?

Teach these lessons to your friends that are interested in wealth. Show them this book and others like it. Form study groups or mastermind circles with them. Where two or more are gathered, the whole is more than the sum of its parts.

Develop an awareness that enables you to look out for and see all opportunities where you can give something freely and cheerfully. You can give material things, your time, skills, or anything else.

Get out of the habit of thinking that you should receive something first before you give. That is not giving. That is an exchange.

Giving freely and cheerfully enables you to do business, if you wish to look at it that way, with the Universe. This is how it works: You give someone something that you have now with you freely and cheerfully.

The Universe, by the law, finds the best way to give back that energy to you in the form of something that you do not have with you. it gives you back in multiples, when it is most appropriate, in the most appropriate form. It is a magical process. Obviously, the more you give, the more magic you create for yourself. Life starts to work for you.

Develop a strong desire and persistence to give cheerfully and freely.

In your goal setting, remember to include several goals that are about free and cheerful giving.

Giving, under the law of cause and effect, is one of the most powerful actions you can take.

It returns in multiples, sevenfold. You cannot afford to leave out giving in your life plan. You cannot afford to leave it to chance occurrence.

Develop giving into a habit, something you do naturally without having to think of it. This makes you into a consistent and persistent giver and the Universe will work for you.

Give spontaneously

Work on the habit of giving until you get to the point where you enjoy giving. Enjoy it thoroughly.

It is ok to think and know that when you give you will get back something from the Universe. You do not have to pretend you are not interested in receiving a reward for giving.

Expecting reward is good. In fact, expecting a reward is empowering a reward to come to you.

The violation of the law of giving comes when you start expecting to receive something back from the same being you give to, saying "Well, I did this for you so you should do that for me." In fact, demanding a particular reward back is a violation. It makes you "trading" minded rather than "cheerful and free giving" minded. Never ask for or expect payback" from those you give to. The reward you receive will come from a source and a time and in a form that the Universe finds best suited for you.

You always have something to give; time, compliments, smiles, talent, money, knowledge, share a book, etc.

Giving has one bonus effect: it shows you what you have but did not know you had. Say you wished to have wealth. You then decide to give wealth first by helping others learn how to have wealth. You read books such as these, help where you can with such knowledge, share these kind of books, and so on. In that process, magically, you end up realizing you had a whole lot of wealth and wealth capabilities that you previously thought you lacked.

You are surrounded with abundant opportunities to give, but you only see them when you decide to start seeing them.

Learn also to receive graciously and happily. Do not feel uncomfortable receiving. You deserve it and by receiving, you are in harmony with the law of giving and receiving.

The trick to giving is to not force it upon those you give to. Offer your gift freely and cheerfully. Show your hand. Do not shove. Show. If the receiver does not wish to take your gift, respect that cheerfully. Do not get offended if your gift is not accepted. Allow the other person their full nature of freedom of choice. And do not make a person dependent on you. When a person becomes dependent on your gifts unnecessarily, you have not done them any good because you have reduced their belief and ability in themselves.

Here is a likely scenario. Imagine a person who does not have much in material possessions to give and share with others. But this person is very charming and kind. The person gives a thousand compliments to people he or she comes across without even getting one compliment back. This person uplifts their mood and confidence by finding ways to encourage and compliment them. But this person never gets a compliment back from anybody. Well, not to worry. The Universe keeps its accounts perfectly. This person’s giving builds credit in the universal system. One day, by the law of cause and effect, of giving and receiving, this person somehow gets the bicycle he or she has always wanted -just when the person needed it - in a way that looks like a miracle. It could be by winning some competition, or having it given to them by a stranger, or one of a countless other possibility, what people call luck. That is how giving works. Sometime the Universe takes little things that you have, can give, and do give, and it puts them into one big thing that you do not have and require and it gives that to you at a perfect time.

All other things held constant, to the extent that an individual or society shares and gives in the right way, so will they have wealth and happiness. Now you know how to do business with the Universe, so to speak.

The Universe itself is a giving Universe, for life is for giving. You give and you receive sevenfold – you actually are rewarded for your kindness. The Source, Life, is all about giving, and the intelligence that runs the Universe honors your giving always, all ways. Give cheerfully! Everything in life is a gift. Especially with regard to wealth and happiness, never cease to cause others to have wealth and happiness, and you will have wealth and happiness in multiples!

The Prosperity Law of Receiving

The first step in receiving is giving. It is through the law of giving and receiving that you demonstrate prosperity. If you are not receiving the good you feel you should have in life, ask yourself, “What should I give?” Prosperity is omnipresent, and you cannot impoverish yourself by giving, which opens the way for you to receive

Expect to Receive

We have all heard about the law of compensation; we cannot get something for nothing; we must give in order to received. Often we have tried to bypass this basic law of prosperity; and in attempting to make short cuts we have only bypassed our good.

The formula is simple: If you are not receiving the good you want in life, ask yourself, “What can I give, to make way to receive my good?” Then freely and quickly give it! There are those pious souls who wills say, “Oh, but when I give, I am not supposed to expect to receive.” And so, of course, they do not receive. Their very attitude blocks their good.

Quite the opposite is true: When you give you can and should expect to receive. It is the law of the universe.

The Great Law of “Give and Take”

Someone called it “the great law of give and take.” Give, and then you can take or claim your own abundance from the rich universe, because through you act of giving you have opened the channel through which universal supply can pour forth to you in appropriate form.

Give to Receive

The universe acts in dynamic reciprocal. Nothing stands still. The flows of our life situation, money, romance, our health, are all mirrors of our flow of energy in harmonious interaction with our field of existence. Our bodies, our minds, our thoughts, are all in constant and dynamic exchange with the forces of the universe. We are able to accelerate/maintain this exchange by giving exactly what it is we wish to receive. The term “affluence,” means to flow in abundance. Money is symbolic for energy. It is a form of energy. Like the word “current” when referring to water, currency is a reflection of the term money and its function. It allows an efficient exchange of energy. Hence to hoard or to stop the flow of energy by stopping the flow of money out of our lives mean to stop the flow coming in. Circulation and investing one’s energy allows the flow to remain alive and the life and body surrounding it healthy. Giving engenders receiving. If you stop the flow of either you derail your life from its alignment with nature’s universal laws and principles.

The more you give, the more you will receive. Even a simple prayer or thought directs energy. It is a form of giving. A simple prayer, a showing of appreciation are ways of directing energy outward. The intention behind the thought must be to create happiness or joy for the giver and the receiver. Like the ebb and tide of the ocean, what goes out always comes back. In fact, the return is always directly proportional to the giving when unconditional and from the heart. More importantly, the thought behind the giving has to be joyful. As a result, the energy behind the gift increases exponentially with each unit of joy. We are bundles of consciousness energy connected with every other bundle of consciousness. Any movement or thought has a ripple effect, touching everyone and everything.

A thought is refined electrical impulse that also interacts with source energy. A thought has the power to transform that which it remains focused on. This includes bringing matter into existence while attracting the right people, situations, and material goods in response to one’s desire.

Make more eye contact, listen more, bring someone you love a flower, a compliment, a prayer.

The feel of the warm breeze on your face, the sounds of the birds singing, the scent of the day, the sound of people talking, children laughing, rain falling, the scent of fresh cut grass… Close your eyes and silently receive the day and for a moment appreciate your life; receive the simple beauty of your life.

Life is a constant flow of giving and receiving; this flow prevents stagnancy and breathes meaning into your world.

How to Apply this in your Own Life:

If you want joy, give joy to others. If you want love, give love; attention, give appreciation. If you seek affluence, seek to help others become materially affluent. This principle applies to all bundles of energy, including corporations, individuals, families, and nations. If you want to be blessed, learn to silently bless others. Our bodies, when reduced to their essence, become bundles of energy and data. We are consciousness. Life is like a dance choreographed by the laws and principles I am speaking of in my books and these articles. To understand how to dance, we must hear the music, we must respond to the ebb and flow found in the cycles of nature. We activate this flow by giving what we wish to receive.

As you come into contact with another person, make a conscious decision to give of yourself. It can be a flower, a compliment, or a prayer. The most powerful gift is non-material. Caring attention and appreciation are all forms of love. Love comes from inspiration, from spirit vs. ego. When we come from love we activate the most powerful law, principle available to us as humans. Make a decision to give wherever you go.

We are naturally abundant, and affluence is our natural state. We lack nothing because our essential nature is one of pure potential. By directing our thoughts, we can initiate the exchange in any area of our lives. Conversely, by not giving love, trust, appreciation, we allow stagnation to occur and the flow stops, and the complexity and quality of our life experience suffers. As you begin to align from a point of spirit with the rest of the world, you will begin to observe the synchronicities as you point your thoughts, actions and currency in the direction of your desires. As you give, you will see the flow return and your faith in the process I am referring to will grow exponentially as you experience the synchronicities. The more you do this, the better you get at it. At some point, your ability to manifest becomes second nature. At that point, the game changes and you begin enter yet another level of existence. It is an existence where you are one with source energy and it becomes not so much what you desire, but how you deal with the new manifestations as they flow effortlessly into your life.

Chapter Two

Law of Attraction

“The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated.”

Beginning with the understanding that what we think about, we bring about, your thoughts are like a magnet. What you think you get. Good or bad. Whatever you are thinking and feeling today is creating your future. Imagine getting out of bed in the morning and stubbing your toe. How does the rest of your day go? Does is get better or worse? Whatever your answer is, you are correct. “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t—you are right.” It is because you attracted it. So, whether your day got better and you didn’t allow the stubbing of your toe to effect the rest of your day, or your day spiraled out of control getting worse at every turn, I am here to tell you, that you caused it. How? This is the law of attraction. When you feel good, you are putting yourself in a frequency to receive. When you feel bad, you attract the negative energy you emit. We need to spend more time focusing on the things that we DO want as opposed to the things that we DON’T. What you resist, persists, so even if you have to act happy and unaffected from life’s daily stressors, fake it until you make it. You need to prepare and work towards becoming one with the universe. Here is how Soul Focus, your wellness center, can help you tune into the right frequency. No one is a natural-born giver. We are all born takers. If you want love, learn to give love, if you want attention and appreciation, learn to give attention and appreciation, if you want material affluence, help others to become materially affluent.

We are bundles of thought in a thinking universe and thought has the power to transform.

Give a gift to everyone you come into contact with. This doesn’t have to be in the form of material things. The gifts of caring, affection, appreciation, and love are some of the most precious gifts you can give, and they don’t cost you anything.

By creating visualizations of abundance in our lives we draw this energy of success into our reality. Success or abundance does not only apply to money. There is success in communication, spirituality, relationships and so on. When creating the abundance of *financial gain remember to be IN this world, but not OF this world. We are not the sum total of your possessions.

Giving and receiving are nothing other than the flow of life—the harmonious interaction of all elements and forces that structure the field of existence. The exchange of energy is the process that has its own timing, organization and beauty. In giving one attains. In giving one acquires. In giving, love becomes the fulfillment of desire, guided and directed in the ways that bring the more perfect knowledge of self as related to the universal, all powerful, all guiding, all divine influence in life. Love is life.

Our higher self always points the best and most perfect way and it is ours to listen and choose or reject what we hear. Your life unfolds in the same way. Everything that comes to you, isn’t something you earn, but a gift freely given by the universe, which means it comes from a deep awareness of what you need.

You don’t join the army and then buy your own uniform and weapons. The government provides everything you need. They not only provide everything, they get everything! They own you.

Think of all the things that have been freely given to you without your having to ask for them. Nature supports your every need and desire, including your need for joy, love, laughter, harmony, and knowledge. Seek these things first—not only for yourself, but for others—and all else will spontaneously come to you.

Give a gift to everyone you encounter, be it a compliment, a flower, or a prayer. “There are no accidents or coincidences in this world. Nothing is by chance. Everything you are experiencing is a direct manifestation of where you’re focusing your energy, attention and consciousness”. This will begin the process of circulating joy and affluence in your life and in the lives of others.

Gratefully receive every gift that life offers you. Be open to receiving, whether it be a material gift from others, a compliment, or a prayer. Silently wish everyone you encounter happiness, joy and laughter. By giving and receiving the gifts of caring, affection, appreciation, and love, you will keep wealth circulating in your life.

No matter what we feel or know, no matter what our potential gifts or talents, only action brings them to life. Those of us who think we understand concepts, such as commitment, courage, and love, one day discover that we only create knowingness when we act; doing becomes understanding. Every aspirant is a focal point of energy and should be a conscious focal point. In the midst of the whirl and storm (of the chaos of third dimension) s/he should make his/her presence felt. We have the right to ask of another his or her intent, identity, and whatever pertinent information we feel we require when encountering a disembodied being. Those who come to us in the roll of information givers to chandlers don’t mind being challenged. Ask the entity your questions three times (using the same words each time) and you will be given the correct information. Time does not exist. What we refer to as past and future, have no reality except in our own mental constructs. The idea of time is a convention of thought and language, asocial agreement. In truth, we only have this moment. When we hold regret for an occurrence in the past we keep the regret alive with pictures and feelings we conjure up. When we feel anxiety about the future, we keep the anxiety alive with the pictures we imagine. Time is the abstract concept. When we practice remembering that the here and now is all we have, our present moments improve. If we wish to reach a certain goal, we must set a direction (create order), prepare well and proceed in small but sure steps. Any achievement can be managed in increments. Skipping a single step or taking a shortcut often results in failure. Also included in this law is the knowing to appreciate the accomplishment of a step toward a goal. Let no one assume to forcibly teach, counsel or guide, for we all have the greatest of these we could hope for already within us. While each teacher is in a manner a director, the individual person may only be a means – not – a way of life. A strong action may promote refusal and achieve rejection, or it may encourage one to become dependent on another’s will. By not searching for excellence within, one refuses the gifts already there but not recognized or realized. In our relationships we achieve greater results with others by our own example and also listening. People answer their own questions if given enough opportunity. The only real control we ever have and need is with self. Everyone is entitled to make career decisions for self, decide the belief system one feels comfortable with, and generally create the life that will allow one to fulfill his or her own birth vision. This is the right to one’s own space, the right to live one’s own life (allowing for parental direction in the developing young person). Overprotective or controlling parents, friends and even dictators have impeded this law and right since almost the inception of mankind. As consciousness expands, the space for events increases and therefore the dimensions in which man cognizes good and evil, opportunity and possibilities, past-present-future enlarge to reveal the outstanding needs in this present world cycle. The Universe is in a continuous and endless process of creation. Cosmic consciousness is a reality, and everything in creation is connected to everything else.

The medium for the ‘implicate order’ of this relationship is consciousness. The fusion of individual consciousness and the universal consciousness results in the development of universal knowledge, of omniscience (all science/all knowledge). Continuity of consciousness is achieved by us after the soul has been acknowledged, awakened, liberated and identified with the Whole (enlightenment). A step to achieve enlightenment is to be aware of our thoughts, emotions and actions, the faculty that enables us to be vigilant, observant or to know. Under the law of attraction, we have criticism.

Criticism

What is your relationship to Criticism? And what does it have to do with attracting anything, particularly well-being, wealth, prosperity and abundance?

The first thing to notice is do I hear the word “criticism” and go inward or outward? I used to go immediately outward. If I heard the word criticism, I immediately thought of someone else, my mom, my boss, a coach, criticizing something I did or said. The person was usually an authority figure. I was sensitive to criticism even from strangers or acquaintances. As I got deeper into my work life, I equated criticism with a more helpful idea invented by Human Resources, “Constructive Criticism.” I grasped the concept that in a performance review I could learn a lot from my boss sharing Constructive Criticism about my job performance, but I still heard the word Criticism as “here comes the Bad News.”

Further along in my spiritual development, I turned my attention inward. I noticed that I had a lot of inner dialogue that was critical. I also noticed that this criticism could be directed two ways- sometimes towards others, and sometimes towards myself. I found that my criticism of others remained mostly unspoken and was hardly ever “constructive.” As for the Self-Criticism, I became more and more aware that I reserved the harshest criticism for myself.
