Acknowledgement

This great work wouldn't be complete without me acknowledging the persons through whom it became a success. I specifically thank dad Pst. Anthony Columba Okolocha for being a source of inspiration to me through his teachings, my lovely mum and wonderful siblings for believing in me.

Special thanks to a friend precious Anavberokhai, despite his tight schedules, he gave apt attention to this work by correcting some hidden errors and offered suggestions which have been included in this book. Thank you all and God bless you.

Introduction

So many Christians walk through life without living fully God’s potential for their lives: they are not living the abundant life that God sent through his only son to give to those who believe in His resurrection. God's intention towards us is far beyond what we could possibly imagine. But the sad truth is that most persons (which I term unbelievers) do not believe in God's existence, and as a result miss out already: the abundant life they could have received. Also, Most Christians are not experiencing this life fully, due to their faithlessness. The subject of faith in our Christian walk is indispensable. No matter how you look at it, as a Christian faith should be your lifestyle. In fact, faith is the lifestyle of a Christian. Everything God created He did with faith: a strong conviction in His heart. If we too must be creative in our lives, then we must like God: learn to exercise our faith, that is, putting our faith to work (action). This is important because faith without works (inability to apply God's word in your life as it is written) is dead (unproductive). This book is written to stir up your faith, thus enabling you to take a step from out of where you are now to where you should be. If you must win daily against life’s challenges and overcome the doubts thrown at you, then faith must be your lifestyle.

Galatians 2:20 NIV

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

CHAPTER

ONE

BELIEVE IN THE INVISIBLE

Matthew 14:30-32 NIV But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down”. If you look at this scripture carefully, you will notice that as soon as Peter looked at the wind, fear entered into his mind causing him to doubt. This made it impossible for him to focus on Jesus, and that is when he began to sink. This same thing still happens in our world today. There are lots of challenges we go through in life that tends to steal our attention, but if you too like Peter begin to think on them continuously, it will bring you to a state of complete doubt and as a result, making God’s word unfruitful in your life. This is largely because God’s word cannot be effective in an environment of doubt and fear. Note, for God’s word to produce maximum results in your life, it must be in an environment of faith and love. Just as fear and doubt limits the effectiveness of God’s word; faith and love enhances it. So, one of the major reasons why people seem not to get so much from God’s word today is not because the word is powerless, not at all! For God’s word in itself is life and power (Rom1:16, John6:63). "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek"
