have the quest for the

deep and hidden things of God.

I express my gratitude to all those who have helped me to discover and follow God’s plan for my life at one point in time or the other.

To my mother, and my father of blessed memory, who brought me forth into life, created the right environment for me to grow, and provided a good education for me. Thank you.

I express my sincere appreciation to my wife, Adebunmi Martha Bolarin, as well as my lovely children, Misi and Mayo, for all their moral supports during the writing of this book. Thanks for your understanding.

To our father-in-the-Lord and mother-in-Israel at His Purpose Church, Pastors Tony and Folakemi Olukoyede, who have been very caring. They sharpened my gifts, allowed me to serve in ministry, and even to share God’s word on the pulpit. May God increase His Showers of Blessing over your lives, family, and ministry!

To my church family, His Purpose Church, you have all been wonderful.

The Kingdom of God is shrouded in mysteries. These mysteries are all expressions of God’s unusual and uncommon divine nature reflected in the interwoven complexities of His unsearchable wisdom, creativity, power, and majesty.

These Kingdom mysteries are basically ways beyond the comprehension of the natural man. Until man gets to the realm and status of God through the New Birth in Christ Jesus (which is another mystery on its own), understanding these mysteries becomes a great misery for men, because they have to be spiritually discerned.

Apostle Paul called these Kingdom mysteries the hidden wisdom of God, which goes beyond the knowledge of the natural man, as he reiterated: “had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory”

Here in this great piece that you are holding in your hands, Pastor Lanre Bolarin has done a good job by the help of the Holy Spirit by bringing some of these Kingdom Mysteries to our consciousness, and presenting them in such a simple manner that all may read, understand, and appropriate to their personal lives and situations, and go on to live a victorious and purposeful Christian Life now and always.

I highly recommend this book to you and your loved ones as a must read! Enjoy it.

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

Romans 9:11

This is also called the Mystery of Predestination. What we need to understand here is that from the beginning, God specially chooses individuals, families, groups of people or nations for specific purposes. There has been this ongoing questioning in several people’s mind whether God does have favorites or not. Beyond the understanding of man and with no respecter of persons or positions, God has demonstrated in times immemorial that He has already predestined some people for special causes or assignments.

However, this does not mean that a person is more special than another person. Everyone is predestinated by God for unique assignments on earth by God. We all have our unique purposes, opportunities, spheres of influence and relevance, as well as our times of manifestations. Each man has his moment of significance in history. Each person has a role to play on the timeline of life on earth.

Most times, we notice that his chosen are usually the unexpected when it is their hour of revelation and manifestation. This is because His ways are beyond the natural understanding of man. A few examples:

i) Abraham was called to go into Canaan. Genesis 12:1

ii) God chose Jacob rather than Esau. Genesis 25:22-28; Malachi 1:2, 3; Romans 9:13-16

iii) Israel was chosen as a nation to be God’s people. Deuteronomy 7:6; 14:2

iv) Joseph ruled over his brothers because he was chosen by God.

v) David was chosen by God to be king amongst his brothers:

vi) Gideon, being the least in his family was chosen to deliver Israel.

vii) Paul was one of the greatest apostles recorded in history although he had no physical encounter with Jesus before his death and resurrection.

“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.”

Romans 11:25

God allowed Israel to be blind to the fact that Jesus Christ is the Messiah they have been expecting for centuries. This gave the gentiles (Non-Israelites) the opportunity to be saved into God’s Kingdom through adoption. This is the reason why most Israelites today are only practicing Judaism and not Christianity. They believe majorly in the Korah, also called the Pentateuch, (Books of Moses - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy), which is only a portion of the entire scriptures.

Many people are bearing the name Jesus either as their first or last name in Israel today. They believe that Jesus was just one of the great prophets that God raised for Israel. This belief came as a result of the lie that the chief priests, that condemned Jesus to His crucifixion on the cross, told the tomb guards to spread after Jesus’ resurrection from the grave. See Matthew 28:11-15.

The blindness of Israel is a Kingdom secret that can only be known to most Israelites when their spiritual eyes are opened by the help of the Holy Spirit. See 1 Corinthians 2:9-14.

“Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: ”

Romans 16:25-26

This is the secret of the first coming of Jesus Christ to Earth in Human form. Over two thousand years ago, it was not everyone in Israel or on earth that knew that a Messiah will be sent by God before He was born in a manger in Bethlehem. The knowledge of this secret was only given to a few - prophets, wise men, those that the angels of God were sent to, and those whose eyes were opened to this secret while studying the scriptures.

God from time immemorial always reveals His plan ahead through His prophets, angels, chosen, and the scriptures. We need to regularly read, study, and meditate on His Words, the scriptures to constantly know what He has done, is doing, and will soon do. There is a master plan He's made for major world events that will determine the future of humans.

Seek, watch out, crave after the knowledge of His eternal plans!

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,”

1 Corinthians 15:51

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

1 Thessalonian 4:13-18

This is the secret of the return of Jesus after His ascension into Heaven. It is also called the Mystery of the Blessed Hope according to the book of Titus.

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;”

Titus 2:13

Not everybody knows or believes that there is a truth about the return of Jesus Christ to Planet Earth. Of a truth, Jesus still tarries after two millenniums (2,000 years), but He will still return. The scriptures tell us that His return will be like a thief in the night - when no one is expecting. It will be just like the days of Noah. See Matthew 24:37-44.

Already, almost all the signs that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24:2-51 and Luke 21:7-36 are already fulfilled. Apart from the scriptures, there have been countless revelations, encounters, and happenings around us in recent times confirming the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The question is, Are you ready for Christ’s return?

However, note that during the return of Christ, not all eyes shall see His appearing as they will during the Second Coming of Christ, which shall be discussed later in this book.

It shall take place in micro-seconds (within the twinkling of an eye). God the Father will instruct the arc-angels to blow the trumpet and Jesus will appear in the sky. The dead in Christ will rise first. We, the saints that are alive, will be caught up together with them into the sky to meet our Saviour and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

We shall be ushered into God’s presence for the Marriage Feast of the Lamb of God. We, the church - the Body of Christ, shall be bethrothed and joined to our Bridegroom. The Church - the Bride of Jesus Christ - was purchased by the shedding of His Blood on the Cross of Calvary.

This will take place for a duration of three and a half (3 1/2) years after which BEMA will hold for another three and a half (3 1/2) years, adding up to a total duration of seven (7) years in Heaven. BEMA is the judgment of the saints that are raptured before the judgment seat of Christ. That was what Apostle Paul was referring to when he was writing to the Corinthians in his first letter to them.

“According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”

1 Corinthians 3:10-15

During that same period on earth is the Great Tribulation. The anti-Christ, the Beast, and the False Prophet shall be revealed on earth.

“Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:”

Ephesians 1:9

The Mystery of His Will is talking of the secret of God’s Will that is made known unto us. This will is what God has purposed in Himself. The mystery is the knowledge of the dispensation of the fullness of the times that God will gather in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and on earth, in HIMSELF.

Let us lay some background information first. Take note of some keywords in Ephesians 1:1-14.

1. Will

Ephesians 1:1 - Will of God

Ephesians 1:5 - Good pleasure of His Will

*That which He purposed in

Himself. Vs 9

Ephesians 1:9 - Mystery of His Will

Ephesians 1:11- Counsel of His Will

*That we who first trusted in

Christ should be to the praise of His Glory

There is a will off God for your life. There is a good pleasure of God’s will for your life. God delights Himself, and is highly excited about bringing His Will to pass in your life. He has purposed in Himself to bring His will for you to pass, and He shall do it.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Jeremiah 29:11

God’s will for you is kept as a secret. It is a mystery. Likewise, God has a counsel for His Will for your life.

The counsel of God is that:

1) You should first of all trust in Christ, and

2) Become a praise of His Glory. He wants to showcase His Glory in your life. He wants His splendor to be seen by all in you. The counsel of God to you is, “Make sure that my glory and beauty truly radiate through your life, family, ministry, business, and in every aspect of your life”.

You are royalty. Think, act, walk, sit, dance, eat, dress, speak, and manifest like a king.

“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

Revelation 1:6

God’s highest calling for every Christian is the call to be a king and a priest for Him here on earth. We are chosen and called with a special calling, to show forth His praise before all.

2. Grace

Ephesians 1:2 - Grace to you

Ephesians 1:6 - Praise of the Glory of His Grace

*To be accepted in the Beloved

Ephesians 1:7 - Riches of His Grace

*Redemption through His blood

*Forgiveness of Sin

Now, to fulfill God’s will for our lives, we need His Grace. Grace is an unmerited favor. It is not by your strength, might or power.

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Zechariah 4:6

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”

Titus 3:5

God’s Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Grace. He is no respecter of persons. He gives and shows favor as He freely wills.

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:”

Acts 10:34

3. Glory

Ephesians 1:6 - Praise of the Glory

Ephesians 1:12 - Praise of His Glory

*We who first trusted in Christ

should be to the Praise of His Glory

Ephesians 1:14 - Praise of His Glory

*The redemption of the purchased

possession to the Praise of His Glory

When we are accepted by God in His Beloved, Jesus Christ, we become a praise of God on earth. Don’t forget that God glorified Jesus before men as His beloved.

“And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Matthew 3:16-17

The Glory of God’s Grace released unto us is made evident to all.

“And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.”

Isaiah 40:5

Beyond the Glory of God’s Grace, we also have what Apostle Paul called the Riches of His Glory. The riches of God’s glory is brought into our lives when we are redeemed through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Our redemption is appropriated in our lives when we surrender our lives to Jesus on the day of our salvation. This is the day we become born again, and our sins are forgiven.

All the riches of God’s grace are released unto us because we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places, in Christ Jesus.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”

Ephesians 1:3

When the Bible talks about the praise of His Glory, it is talking about the Praise of the Glory of God’s Grace.

Everybody around us and from afar, even from the ends of the earth shall see the glory of God's grace in us, and praise Him. Isaiah 40:5.

4. Holy Spirit

Ephesians 1:13-14 - Holy Spirit of Promise

*Sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise, having believed

*The guarantee of our inheritance

When we believe in Christ Jesus, we are sealed with God's Holy Spirit. Jesus promised the Church the release of His Holy Spirit.

“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:”

John 15:26

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

John 16:7

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.”

John 16:13,14

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

Thus, God's Holy Spirit was released over His Church since the day of Pentecost. Acts 2:1-4

And the in dwelling of His Holy Spirit in every believer is the guarantee of our inheritance in Christ. This the assurance of our inheritance in Heaven and the New Jerusalem till eternity.

Now, let us look vividly at the Mystery of His Will, which is the knowledge of the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times.

5. Dispensation of the Fullness of Times

- This is a plan, or the carrying out of a plan. God is the author of the Eternal plan. Ephesians 1:1

Therefore, dispensation is God’s plan for the ages,

established and settled before the foundation of the world. Ephesians 1:4.

Fullness of Times:

This is when God’s plan will be brought to completion. The fullness of times is expressed in two different contexts: Christ’s first coming, and Christ’s second coming.

1. Christ’s 1st Coming - Galatians 4:4

2. Christ’s 2nd Coming - Ephesians 1:10

The fullness of times in the original language literarily means “At the Decisive Moment”. That is, The Kingdoms, or World Empires, according to the book of Daniel in the Bible.
