Once upon a time, God was moved by need.

One day God went to the Garden of Eden in the cool of the evening to have His usual fellowship with Adam and Eve. Rather than stay at their usual spot and wait for the Creator with delightful expectation, Adam and Eve went into hiding, prompting God to billow out to Adam ‘where are you?’

God was moved by the condition he found Adam and his wife. He knew that Adam was not in a position to help himself out of his predicament. Left in the state God found Adam, it would have been disaster per excellence. But God had compassion on mankind and took steps to meet that most important of all human needs. That was the origin of Grace.

God is no longer moved by need. He is moved by faith. In the Book of Hebrews, it is written: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Grace is no license for lasciviousness. “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” (Romans 6:1).

The burden of grace is higher than the demands of the Mosaic Law. “Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?” (Hebrews 10:28-29). You cannot insult the Spirit of grace and get away with it.

There are many axioms one can derive from the Scriptures. With gratitude to the Spirit of Grace I present the following statements for your edification and strength in your work and walk with the Lord.
